Pic d'orhy I'll try and find out how much, once i know who the owner is for definite. But i bet it was north of €500k as they'd already reportedly turned down simular offers in the spring. And he's gone on from there

I meant it’s the same as in the entry for Master Dino and the change of ownership of Pic D’Orhy were both out the blue. The subsequent enthusiasm, hype and price crash are similar based on the French form they’re bringing with them.

I can't say it in triumph terms as it would sound obsurd.
But if you took tiger tap tap, sir erec, adjali, quel destin all to auteuil and priced it up in France pic D'orphy wouldn't be bigger than evens aslong as beaumec de houlle diddnt run.

Is this an accurate and recent quote from PN? If recent then the 'Spring' might be a bit late to bring out first time ahead of the Triumph.....Although it could be Zarkandar all over again. First run in the Adonis before winning the Triumph. Fortunately I was on that one before the Adonis. Of course PN will know how good this one compares at home with QD, assuming he's had him long enough to find out.

It's not 1st time he's ran in 6 hurdle races since March his last run was in November at the highest level. He means spring as in where it matters. You could go straight to the triumph no bother if you wanted. You only need to pop him over some UK hurdles at home

He's be alot better than QD on all known form.
 
Worth a cheeky score at 20s Im on , just watched his last race , I liked how he finished his race and he a lovely looking horse.
 
There's surely every possibility that Adjali could improve past Pic D'orhy.

Maybe the recent gelding operation will have done the trick. :highly_amused:

Just for context that's pic d'orphys debut with goliath du berlais in 2nd. (Very good horse) He then went on to beat him 7L then 13L on his next 2 starts. Goliath du berlais is closely matched with adjali. And miles better than quel destin was in France.

That was an early beaumec de houlle that adjali took on (debut) then went on to be a graded machine. Pic D'orphy was taking the other route where his stablemate polorico (also finished infront of adjali) was taking on beaumec de houlle. They then we're put in together at the peak of the season in the biggest races after both had been mopping up in the mean time.

I'd Agree with you there A.F , I have Couer sublime , adjali and Quel destin for now and happy with that.
Unless something Look's a lot Better than those one's.
 
Took the 16's with 365 for safety last evening.

Seem to be balls deep in a race I don't really want to be now. :disgust:

So am i, i had twice what was my max bet on adjali ew And now nicholls has gone and bloody bought pic D'orphy.

It's an unusual scenario where as maccaire would normally have the very best juveniles. And as he's sold a good one to munir souede. He wouldn't shit on them by selling the very best over here.
But as Franco is Nicole has the best, he's ended up coming over here which I never would have foreseen.
 
Pic D'Orhy was bought by De La Hey (Danny Kirwan, Diego Du Charmil etc)
