“There is the Dublin Festival back here and he'll probably get an entry there but he'll be entered now for the Champion Hurdle and he might just go straight there,"

WillieMullinsNH

after his Ryanair Hurdle success with Sharjah

After what we've seen over Christmas, Laurina won't have to improve half as much!

Nothing to do with completely different ground to last year's festival? And sharjah has strengthened up, come on a bundle with each run and is now a serious grade 1 horse.

She's not taken on anything or even ran on decent ground yet. Can't wait to see her in the renowned CH trial of a mares hurdle at Sandown.

I'd rather have 15/1 ew on sharjah than 14/1 ew laurina. Any day of the week.

You did not get on early in the season. You regret it now, I can see that.

Massively. She's won the 2 best trials and is going straight there I assume.

Never thought it at the time of the WKD back in November, but Bedrock has a right chance in this at the prices.
He's only 5 = 6 in March.
In the galway hurdle (which sharjah won) he was only one from the back to get anywhere near, and it was on Soft.
His form looks all speed so better ground seems to suit.

The WKD hurdle now looks like Samcro's best form this year and Sharjah was likely race fit that day,
It was also arguably the strongest paced race, and Bedrock was able to sit off the pace and pounce.

Bedrock's other win in Ireland was impressive although not sure what he beat (wicklow brave and Arctic Fire) but in what form ?

The main negative is his two previous runs at cheltenham (one on soft), but he was only four years old and with a different trainer.

Mullins has sent out his 2nd and 3rd strings, seen they are better than the rest.

She will probably do the CH/Mares double in the space of half hour. :triumphant:

Good luck. And hopefully she'll run for you in the CH.

She will be entered. That's the main thing where the cash out is concerned. I think she will run though and I'll let it ride.

All the best with Sharjah. Certainly improved!

Reasonably happy with Melon today. He'll be better with a change of tactics like he did in the CH last year. He'll also come on a bundle for that.
Ive taken the 10s with 365 as I think he's great e/w value.
I firmly believe BD will get beat at the fez.

I'd have waited with Melon. Will likely be beat again before cheltenham and drift a bit more.

GBO with 365 so it might work for me. Agree that he could get beat again and drift big time.
