Perceived Aintree wisdom is chase course needs prominent riding and hurdle track needs holding up. How did that fare yesterday?

    Chase Winners:

    Banbridge "always prominent"
    Shishkin "chased leaders"
    Famous Clermont "chased leaders"
Dancing On My Own "chased leader"

    Hurdle Winners:

    Zenta "mid division"
Constitution Hill "jumped well, made all"
Dysart Enos, not a hurdle race, but also "mid division"

Buddy One & Burrows Saint my two main hopes today, have double both with Constitution Hill for any race.

Buddy One I was mad keen on for the Martin Pipe & thought I had it in the bag at the last, got tired & wandered about up the hill on his way to 3rd. If he travels as well as he did that day (odds on in running) the easier finish at Aintree should hopefully see him home!

Burrows Saint has gone great over these fences in the National, didn’t quite see it out though when finishing 4th. Hopefully the drop in trip will see him sit up with the pace & stay on well. Think he’s been kept fresh with this in mind.

Fancy a shot at an outsider in the Sefton too, currently torn between Batcio & Killer Kane.

I think things look pretty hard so

I've done the Found a Fifty/Absolute Notions double someone put up on here a few day ago, and have added Gerri Colombe for a treble too.

Hugh Taylor put up a 50/1 shot and Tony Calvin 100/1 - have backed as singles, but also managed a 0.5pt double ew on Hansard at 66s and Moka de Vassy at 66s too. Buying a house if that one lands.

Also can't resist Bowen in the Topham, so Equus Dancer 1pt e/w at 12 with 7 places at Sky. I know no BOG, but rare their extra places prices are aligned with the rest of the market

Double - Found A Fifty, Absolute Notions 33/1 0.5P great shout whoever put this up before decs, both missed Cheltenham, both have rock solid form and chances

Single - Dargiannini 9/1 1P Harry Derham doing ok and this lad didn’t run at Cheltenham which a lot of the field did, has a chance imo.

Single - Al Dancer 17/2 1p free bet not much to say, like the course, yard in decent form still as well.

E/W Treble - No Looking Back (3 places), Al Dancer (6 places), Maximilian (4 places).

It's just about minimum stakes for me today as it looks very very difficult.

Gesskille 16/1 and 12/1 ante post is my main bet.

                        Also got the following:

                        2.20 0.5pt ew Captain Conby 12/1
                        2.55 0.5pt ew Rare Edition 50/1, 1pt Found a Fifty 9/2
                        4.05 0.5pt Gin on Line 90.0
                        5.15 1.5pt ew JPR One 10/1

Gerri too classy for them but jesus mary and joseph will Harry Skelton ever learn to hold onto his mount a bit?

That was very impressive indeed! Jumping was perfect the whole way round! Could be a top contender to Galopin at least.

Feel a tad sorry for Jordan G but you have to think run that BANC another 100 times and Gerri wins 99 of them

Edit - just to expand on the above, I think he just let TRW get away off the bend and seemed to take so long to get Gerri going again.
