3.15 Windsor - Julius Brutus @ 9/1 (B365)

Completely the wrong price IMO. Been competing in far more competitive races and won well the only time he competed at this level. Ran well in a group 3 at Kempton beaten by Kessaar (107), a subsequent group 2 winner. Had no problems beating Konchek (107). 8th in a listed reappearance race at Newbury but the form looks good with listed winners in behind. The in form Cieren Fallon claims 7lbs. The ground is good to firm which will suit. 5f will be ideal as he often races prominently so can see him front running and just winning this like he did at Ripon. Will surely go off shorter than 9/1. I expected him to be at the top of the market not the bottom!

All about two horses that I am watching but not backing today.

Band Of Outlaws 7.20pm Tipperary - to get his season going early, perhaps aiming at Galway and the aGalway Hurdle with this prep, and long range coming back to Cheltenham to try for back-to-back Festival Win, this time the Champion Hurdle.

Little Brown Trout 2.50pm Yarmouth - the Visinari maiden form gets a fifth test with this horse. He finished 6th beaten over 22 lengths, but the 3rd, 4th 5th and 8th have ran and finished first or 2nd next timeout and all jumped up by 25 or more in RPR’s.

I wasn’t holding out too much for this horse today (he started at 66/1 on debut) when I saw his price was 80/1 last night. Now it’s 12/1 and 14/1, so maybe he does have a chance of a good show and a big improvement on his RPR of 50 on debut.
