  • Think Dysart Enos and Golden Ace are still being quite underrated by their prices in the mares hurdle market. Maybe there’s less risk with Golden Ace? Seems more versatile ground wise and has ran over the trip now, think I’m correct in saying the mares hurdle was confirmed as the target aswell.

    • Agree BOH. Especially with Lossiemouth very likely to go Champion Hurdle and Brighterdaysahead seemingly going chasing next season. She has already beaten JDG convincingly this year as well.

If not this month, maybe next month we can consider horses that were "unlucky" at this year's festival? Not due to ground, but where they were hampered at a crucial time, or didn't get the greatest of rides, or where rider unseated (e.g. Fastorslow in the Gold Cup).
Am definitely going to be doing this as a theme but not until the summer months when we have no fresh form to go on. For the first three mo the, we’ve the Cheltenham/Aintree/Punchestown form to go on so we tend to just stick with winners without the need for a particular theme. Then the summer months I try to be creative abit and one of those can definitely be an ‘unlucky losers’ Yankee as well as usually one Yankee from Saxon Warrior, one Yankee based on talking horses from the pre-season books/whispers, and one Gordon Elliott Yankee (pre Down Royal) later this year before the season truly gets underway. I’d imagine the unlucky losers ya kee would be June or July.

Thanks MoM - another suggestion for the monthly yankee is to select picks from an odds perspective e.g. best value horse who can win with odds between 2 and 4, then select between odds of 4 to 8, then 8 to 12 and finally 12s or higher (set the range for whatever you think appropriate).
