Yea you’d think browns is more likely if he romps home in the Kauto.

in Mark Howard’s book (if I can remember right with a killer hangover) connections thought he could win at 2m in the uk if he wanted but was more likely to go out in trip.

I backed him for turners and banc after the book but would think the latter is more likely.

The trainer said that because the FR GC is the long term target, they would rather be stepping out in trip that down (even though they think he can win at 2m).

        • So French GC this season then. Not sure what that means to his chances of coming over as there are prep races in France in March. Ummmmmm

            • Marine Nationale more likely Leaopardstown at Christmas, doesn't want to start him off on testing ground is the jist of it. Mentions Leopardstown Xmas -> DRF -> Cheltenham.

              • Barry Connell tending towards ruling out Marine Nationale from the potential Clash with ITP at Navan in the 2m beginners. Starting to contract his schedule a little too now, suggesting beginners in December, DRF, Chelts. So no meeting with Facile Vega until DRF at the earliest by the looks.

                            • That was good from Grangeclare West. He was a bit sketchy at the first few but warmed up to it nicely. Shame they couldn't have jumped the last few in the straight.

I'm not convinced he will ever be seen at his best over 20f, it will be looked at as a good intro and build on that.
I know all the talk has been BANC but he could still end up in the NH Chase...
