I was only saying the other day that Remittance Man, one of Hendo’s best ever chasers, won a bumper and a novice hurdle at Cheltenham on ground officially described as ‘firm’.
Ducking matches and choosing ground appear to have crept in over the years sadly…

I imagine that's a lot to do with the Cost of some of these horses . ??.

The money they are paying is absolutely crazy

Get a lot more enjoyment for your money with horses though. Unless you are Darren Yates.

The thing is, it costs as much to have a ?10k horse in training as a ?100k horse. At ?30k a year you'd look at the sums more carefully.

I actually think Honeysuckles best distance is 2 1/2 miles
she is just so good she can adapt for a champion hurdle

For me, she's up there as one of the greats that I've seen in my time of being involved with horse racing... what a horse!!! Yes, there have been plenty of others that may have had more scope or ability, but none of them have been able to string as many 1's next to their name whilst she's been around

I hope he comes out and wins today, would love to see her lined up in March in the Champion hurdle for one final time.... and be there to cheer her on
