I get that she beat what seems a poor champion hurdle field - but she did absolutely piss it. If what they’re saying that she has gotten stronger and filled out over the summer then I just can’t see her being beaten

If anyone wants a confidence booster, they could watch that 2f gallop again....
I think the ground is what is bringing others into todays race, Silver Streak and Sceau Royal are arguably much better horses on quicker ground and although I don;t think it will inconvenience Epatante it gives others a better chance.
I have a very rare successful roll up going onto Epatante today so don't need to play but if had no interest already I'd be smashing the evs...
Dont agree with that Lobos. Sceau Royal is a very good horse, who is race fit and has his optimum conditions.
He is decent but she should be pushing the likes of him aside if she has aspirations of retaining her title. It's the Champion Hurdler we are talking about here.

How backwards
Hard to say, suppose the manner of the beating would dictate the price, if she's beaten. Probably falls into short nose, not fit, smashed, so maybe be 4/1, 5/1, 6/1
I think we will look back and think evens was free money today on epatante, just can't see how hendo wont have her tuned up. Ruby walsh on road to cheltenham really likes her and just cant see her getting tuned over today.
