  • Any thoughts on Peregrine Run here? Was looking for something that could shockand was very surprised to see him entered. 25/1 e/w with PP/Sportsbook and a mad price on the exchange.

I'm not totally convinced on Tiger except for the fact the race looks really weak. PR has some strong form in the book however and flying under the radar. A concern would be he may need good ground (looking at bare form), exchange price may mean not travelling and may simply be a run out before Aintree. Think I'll have a small e/w play. Admittedly it's been quite a while since I've followed this horse so any insight appreciated

You only need to go back through a few pages and people have discussed him

        I would too.

Think Easyslands at the right price would be a bet for that market. Anyone know if the cowboy impressionist is on board again?

        • That's great thanks! Completely missed that (re: Peregrine).

The place angle is definitely an interesting one in terms of the national. A friend of mine has a horse with Fahy so I'll give him a nudge and see if he can find anything out

Take a look at #250 in this thread. Peter's hoping to get Mine Now into it but will need a few to come out which looks unlikely.

I dont think hes been mentioned on this thread previously. But hes jocked up with STD now.

he's a proper cross country horse. Who has been giving a lot of weight away due to his previous form. He finished infront of urgent de gregaine the time before. And ran a very good race behind easysland last time where he was going well and hit one down the back in a race which was atleast as strong as this imo.

I think he may try and make all, or atleast take it up at some point. So I'm glad they chose a jockey who knows his way around. He may get nabbed for the victory but he could easily stay in the frame. And if he was to be be given a soft one, they could be in trouble.

                • Tomorrow he might actually be a decent price in the 'Without' markets

                      Entered but balloted out.

It's worth adding, everyone should check which horses have been balloted out as these bets are declared void. Bookies have been know to class these as losers in the past, which they most definitely aren't.

                          • I was twitter searching Might Bite for news and laughed at this more than I should have

Nicky was saying Might Bite was enjoying the reroute but you'd have to question whether he'll stay the trip or if he'll have a chance against experienced horses.

Might Bite to go the wrong way in the Cross Country.

I don't think either of those are the question.... staying the trip won't be a problem he's a Gold Cup horse and RSA winner. They go so slow in this race compared to those stamina tests it'd be easy for him to get home.

The question is, is he completely gone at the game?

His prime is better than anything in the race (he's got a higher OR than Tiger Roll)

He's just nowhere near his prime, and has a very, very slim chance of winning this in my opinion.
