  • If Altior and Chacun both win this week it's going to properly solidify them as the two favs.

Agree with Scooby that if you dont fancy Altior then you can take him on either now or later with your selection.

Interesting if DDS lined up too and all three remained unbeaten, what a race - that would thin out the opposition.

Also agree that Hendo really looks to have slid past the truth by saying he's tired and will miss Kempton and then declared for Kempton in the 2-Miler.

    • In my opinion Altior has regressed and Chacun is a monster. As per Scooby’s message I would like Altior to run here so I can get a nicer price about Chacun, but if I was Henderson I’d be dodging this. I’m already on Chacun for a nice sum, nothing too wild given ante post and his history however

        • The NRNB opening price on CPS will be very interesting.

I have a bit on at 25/1 but couldn’t imagine getting involved at single digits given his history. Would he really shorten much for a facile win and then NRNB given Altior will still be at the top of the market?

Or you've backed chacun, and your scared of altior so you think it's a mistake as it potentially runs your bets.
Agree, take Altior out and Chacum is very short.
Assuming he takes his chance stick an order up to back Altior because he will hit a lazy spot and drift to a big price in running...

              1. Stable smashed him off the boards 6/4 into 4/9 on his Naas comeback after 1000 days off the track
              2. Beat the JLT and Arkle winners with ease on only his second run over fences
              3. Impressed schooling around Punchestown after racing a few weeks back
              4. Walsh was asked if he’d miss riding one horse this season, who would it be? Chacun Pour Soi

                1. A nothing beginners chase & Mullins/Ricci horses are often smashed into odds on.
                2. Beat a JLT winner at the end of a long season, and a weak Arkle winner (to put it lightly).
                3. Impressive schooling doesn't mean monster
                4. Ruby gets it wrong all the time. He got off last years Gold Cup winner for example.

I hope with every fibre of my being you have called it and he does turn out to be a monster, I was just playing devils advocate that he isn't one, yet

                    • Chancun has a hell of a lot to prove and is very fragile but clearly they think a lot of him so you have to go along with the hype. Will he be bullied by Altior at Cheltenham though......I think so

You won't see over christmas , its always a nothing race. Just like laurina going into the CH last year, you'll find out on the day. There is an almighty gulf in class between the 2 races

                          • Le Richebourg is entered on 31Dec at Punchestown in a 2MF4F Hurdle. Looks like he may be making it back to the racecourse this season.

Sizing John entered in the same race.

Kevin Blake said that on the FFP.

Hurdle prep just after Christmas for the DRF to set where he is. 2 mile race, obviously.
