Blowing Wind is the one that springs to my mind. Won the County at 15/8

That was the same year as blowing wind. A couple of awful results for the bookies.

Tombstone ran off 149, had just beaten Jezki off levels and had a lot of confidence because of the form of the Supreme looking bulletproof.

He wasn’t officially well in on any other mark just looked like and had the form of a horse that was a lot better than his mark

          • Yeah so he was "well in" but this guy is really well in- what price was he again when hyped by elliot before setback for MP?

I think as low as 6/1

Jeez, i'd love them to go the hurdle route with him....could be on a right bet

PP/BFSB cut to 12s last week (from 20s) so I think it’s on the cards, although no support elsewhere just yet

                  • The Coral Cup is also a decent race for future chasers or chasers returning to hurdles.

I’m not going to get too swept away by the hype as he may stay over fences and we don’t know what rating he’ll get, but it’s worth a shot NRNB for sure.

                    • Glenloe entered up over 2 miles on Sunday.

                      Next stop the Kim Muir

                      • It's 110 pts back for me if The Storyteller wins, stop tempted me to put more on.

                        • The Storyteller (CC) and Glencoe (KM) is 440/1 with the cash out kings

Called that from a long way out....

365 are 440/1 (20/1 each) the two (GLENLOE/THE STORYTELLER), and they're the two I think I've mentioned first (well done highlighting the two most obvious horses of all time) ....but still

I will absolutely have to have the double on !

I have this bet as well. I also did a Trixie with Sire Du Berlais in the Pertemps. Very speculative but you never know.....

                              • According to the BHA ratings database, The Storyteller doesn't have an official mark over here. In Ireland he's gone up to 160 for chasing but, again, the hurdle mark of 142 seems to have lapsed.
For me that means that the UK handicapper can start from scratch using whatever evidence he chooses. As a baseline I'd expect him to use the 147 that he was allotted for the chase last season and allowed him to win by 1.5 lengths which put him up to 155. It's very much up to the new guy but I'd be surprised if he gets in with less than 150.
