My mistake on the WH Non Runner Insurance (I told Kev about it). It was 2017 where by they offered "If your horse runs in a different race at the Festival - get your stake back as a free bet to be used at The Festival (free bet up to £25)"
Just got clarification that this is not the case this year:
Hope no one took that up on that premise!!

On soft I'd love to see him up against UDS!

I think wait this out and if he is there on the day, I can very much see myself getting involved. I absolutely loved that performance. Was easy enough to knock the horses he beat but on their day all of them are at least yardsticks in a Ryanair, albeit you'd want to be beating them... but he couldn't have been any more impressive.

Jefferson's daughter, Ruth, said: "There's not a lot of races about for him and we will have to look at the next step up and if the ground is good to soft or soft we will give it a go (Grade One Betfair Ascot Chase, February 17).
"Smad Place and God's Own are getting on a little bit, but they do set a nice standard. He has done really well on soft ground and he has looked really well on soft/heavy ground. He has had to run on something a bit quicker today and prove he was as good.
"I like the way he quickened between the second-last and the last and galloped to the line. I was really pleased with that and his jumping.
"He is quite a heavy horse. He is not very big, but stocky and we would want to make sure it is genuine good to soft or worse before we risk him.
"The weather Gods are out of my control so we will keep him in at Cheltenham, as it can be good ground and rain. We will keep him in it until the last minute. We will put him in the Champion Chase and the Ryanair.https://scooby91horseracingtips.com/

I'm slighty regretting not having anything ante-post on...but it was a decision based on the "need" for soft ground. It was a bit like American last season... I'd have fancied him for the RSA if running but he missed the festival and won on the Saturday.
I unfortunately had a speculative go at Smad Place for this at 159.0 which looks too short now
I keep thinking about Balko Des Flos and then every time I go through his form, see other Gigginstown horses that would have much better chances!
I do want Coney Island and Disko in NRNB but 8/1 and 9/1 are just at an annoying little price really!
