Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I understand Arbing, what kind of profit do you hope to make & what would your totally layout be per race, if you layout £200 would you be hoping for 50% or less per race? and do you do that for all the races or just the main champion ones??

Just trying to see if its worth the total layout & hard work. if its only a small profit would it be worth it?

Ps who gives a S&IT about having a buzz, its all about making a profit at the end of the day, a lot of people say we gamble for fun but it truth we mostly gamble to hopefully one day hit it big.. as soon as cheltenham is finish we will all start to find winners/anti posts for the big flat races, so cheltenham is a buzz but making a profit small or large is the biggest buzz.
Hello, in all honesty I don't know... because I didn't set out to do it 'arbing', I've just found myself in this position. A friend of mine and I discussed it regarding gold and he's now got a very profitable system. I'm torn between wanting to do it though because I do still enjoy the "getting it right" when I have a strong opinion. I'd rather make money on something I got RIGHT than win the same amount of moeny when I got it WRONG... however, the latter is better than losing? It is a balance?

I haven't found it hard work at all, I have absolutely loved it, however I am sure I could have been more efficient than I have been...

and I have done it when the market seems to have allowed me too.... some through luck, some through 'skill'.

Are you doing it as well?

No always like the idea, not sure if I would have the discipline, but I will be very interested in how you get on and if it goes well for you (i really hope it does) maybe next year i will give it a go.

It's interesting how the approach differs between this site and The Racing Forum.
Over there Kev's strategy would be seen as a lot more mainstream with guys covering lots of horses in one race and then looking to lay them off as the meeting gets closer.

I'm still learning from everyone at both sites and I reckon my book is not too dissimilar to Kev's.

Despite all the different horses if Western Rider and Peregrine Run win then I'll be in clover just like everyone else on here

compiling the book has given me a lot of pleasure this year. I work away a lot during the week and it fills in the time, god knows what I'm going to do with myself after next Friday

I think this is a very different Tuesday than recent years. Ruby has his two favourites but it is hard to see it turning into the usual Ruby Tuesday.

Melon has to be opposed on form/price.
Altior has to fail for the Arkle to go his way...and even then plenty of others you'd fancy equally.
Footpad would be a minor but not total shock in the Champion.
Limini doesnt convince on back of the later runs in 2016 ...will she stay the extra 3 f ?

It is destined to be Bookie Tuesday ....
