Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

At no stage have I ever heard him suggest he was going anywhere but the Triumph.
Yeah only the ground (soft on the Tuesday) will change plans for DDS in my eyes and even then I imagine it'll be a decision made by JP rather than Hobbs. He's never one to hype up a horse too much but he sounded quietly confident about his Triumph chances.

      All correct.

If CP is better than, but not anywhere near as impressive as DDS was in beating Evening Hush, could that bring about a dramatic change? I appreciate Hobbs might not know, but JP (Frank Berry) could make a switch?

Stranger things will happen than that... I wouldn't knock a very speculative smalls stakes bet, especially as it'll help with sleep over the next 3 weeks

      • That's good news guys, cos I definitely want DDS in the Triumph.
Will also back him on the day, taking advantage of the first race offers from the bookies.

        • Just realised I gave an antepost acca to a racing fan in the office I had in secret santa.

It had annie power, faugheen and thistlecrack on it.

          It was clearly cursed.

The last horse on it? Douvan

Great solution to the what to spend a £5 on conundrum. Pity about the horses.

                  • Cantlow, Unowhatimeanharry, On The Fringe, Death Duty at 9/2, 5/2, 9/2 and 5/2. Placed last year £3 Yankee to win a bit than£2,500 is my best hope of a good pay out.

                          • A lot of people contemplating whether VVM or Limini run in mares or CH, just to put it out there I see Limini in the mares and VVM possibly in the stayers again, thought that was her target initially with Limini/Annie in the Mares with Faugheen in the CH, feel willies only runners in the CH now will be Nichols canyon and Footpad

                            Comment

                            • I think Limini Mares and VVM Stayers looks the most obvious, even though I cannot see how VVM can overturn UNWIMH.

However I just can't see Ruby being ok to let the CH go by without a solid chance in the race. Fair enough if there was a standout in the race in another yard (Altior in the Arkle for instance) but in such an open year surely Limini (my pick) or VVM will be running in it (or Yorkhill )

I just can't see Ruby being happy to have Nichols canyon and Footpad as his options in the race...

                              • Right at the start of the season they said VVM will be the super sub again, fitting in where Faugheen and Annie Power don't go.

They don't go for the CH. At times during the season I thought she'd go Stayers (but only if Annie went in the Mares).... that ain't happening so the stayers won't even get considered. They've got Shaneshill, who has solid enough claims. VVM wouldn't overturn UNWIMH so might as well let Shaneshill run on for second, rather than VVM get a 'closer 2nd'?

Ricci ever even had a runner in the stayers? ... as the owner of the prev 2 winners, I'd say its 1/10 that he has a runner in the CH
