She won a novice chase at Christmas
There is no mares novice chase at Cheltenham
Already chasing and no mares race as you elude to. Amazed if she turned up at the festival and if she did I'd see it as huge weakness in the Mullins' novice chase ranks, despite how good she looked.
With VVM they harped on about how much prize money there was t be mopped up in Novices Chases in Ireland because of the excellent programme and it is not hard to see her skipping the festival
A bit late to the party, finally deciding to post after reading many peoples bets/thoughts on here, so here it goes.
I've never been one for singles (I know, a road straight to the poor house) but I have always done well at Cheltenham doing multiples, mostly Goliaths & Super Heinz bets.
I, like many, have some bets that are already out, I had the late Vautour as my Gold Cup contender for this season, Josies Orders was also prominent in my original multi's, and of course I followed what had been a successful route for 3/4 seasons and backed Senewalk & Jenkins for the Supreme in some of them. Well that's the poor/mug/negative ones out the way.
Current standings are as follows:
Min (Arkle @ 5/1), Djakadam (GC @ 14/1) & Augusta Kate (Novice Mares @ 8/1) - 1pt E/W Patent (Singles are obviously part of this, so go me I managed some singles after all) = 14pts
I have others, but these are my main bets so far, 'investing' more end of the month, including Thistlecrack & Altior in these, as although I have missed the boat on prices I am currently relying heavily on Min & Djakadam, albeit even if they both place I'll still be in a healthy position given the prices and the multi's they are in, but I feel the need to cover with a couple of bets of some alternatives/combinations.
The more I think about it , the more I am convinced that Faugheen goes Champ Hurdle and Annie P goes for the Mares...
As such, I've just had a VERY speculative Mullins 5-fold... 1pt @ 240/1

If I lose any multiples due to Annie going for the Champion Hurdle rather than the Mares, then I will take that.
Nobody likes antepost bets to come a cropper, but at least it would be for sensible racing decisions!

Other than the forum win yankee, I think I'm gonna try and snatch some value now with an antepost Heinz. I have 4 selections already out of 6 who have 99% cemented targets, will need some of your input guys on 2 more to make up the 6 selections,
