Purely speculation and they may want a runner on Tue and Wed which would mean the RSA is more likely .... don't suppose anyone knows them?
COI is entered up in a 3m chase this Saturday at Warwick (OO Seven a potential ooponent) having had a few setbacks over Christmas. Based on sending a few tweets to the owners son (Harry Drew) throughout the season and seeing some of his replies he's been pretty bullish about the horses chances in "either the RSA or 4 miler" and knows he "stays all day". I know all the quotes from David Pipe at the start of the season had the RSA as the aim.
I had hoped by now he would have taken in a few more races particularly one of the novice chases at Cheltenham (having raced so often there in his novice hurdle campaign) against top opposition and found one or 2 too good hence going for the 4 miler. If he was to go through now until March still unbeaten i'd say RSA would be more likely especially as the RSA looks quite open right now (compared to say last year when you had 2 real classy horses in No More Heroes and More of That heading the market)

Have backed COI for both races at 33s so effectivly 16.5/1 any race... so I am hoping for a good show if he does run. 00Seven might not be a great yardstick though after last time out. May not be conclusive? More hope than expectation so far on my account
Like the Wylie bet Aldie, they could significantly shorten too.... 5 pts on Wylie seems plenty, 1 was enough for me

Cheers kev.
Always back wylie horses regardless. He had plenty horses with howard johnson whos stables are a mile along the farm road from my house. Tidal bay and the gang used to trot along the road past my house without me even realising who they were until speaking to the jockeys on a hungover head clearing walk one morning

Yea the ban was up last year. Hope he starts training again. Will do northern racing the world of good.
I dont think he has any with nicholls now. Solar impulse and alcala were sold.
The majority of wylies horses trained by or were ready to be trained by howard went to mullins.
I know Felix yonger and a few others were in the stables when i visited. 3yos at the time
All been hush hush for a while up there and not sure what activity has been going on if any. But i know graham and andreas massive 4x4 been parked there a few times over the summer last year.
Who knows......he may start up again in a couple of years

jono or ista .... what price did you mention DD was for the RSA 2018 (if you did?)
Sky have it 14/1 for next years RSA.... and my goodness I tempted to have 2 points on that.... it HAS to be the aim? They've pretty much already said that... I know it is a long time to wait, but a win in the AB and he can't even be double figures can he? (Interestingly the AB 17 + RSA 18 is 25/1) ....
If he doesn't take to fences then fair enough, moneys gone, but they've called him a chaser enough times already to give you confidence....
Ah heck, I'm going in before you get chance to tell me its a bad idea.... but if you do, don't hold back anyone!

Yep every sentence on this horse leads on to his chasing career. The recent interview from Elliott on him being his best ever hurdler just adds more weight to his potential over fences.
I'm pretty sure No More Heroes was put in at 8/1 for the RSA after his AB 3rd. Alpha des Obeaux was 8/1 at the start of the season. Cannot remember the price for Don Poli at the start of his RSA season - that was bigger but i don't think anymore than 14's. That was when antepost was a little more generous though. Gigginstowns leading novice chaser tends to always be a relatively short price for the RSA at the start of each season.
I can see DD being a carbon copy of No More Heroes - go close in the AB (hopefully win this time) then be antepost fav for the RSA all year, winning his prep runs getting shorter and shorter. Have 100% confidence they would go the RSA route even if they switched to the Neptune this year. If i had to guess i'd say he'll be 6/1 RSA fav come April 2017.
I've just requested the odds from other bookmakers. Hoping I can get some 20's but that may be pushing it. I'll certainly be joining you with 2 points on him though either at the 14's or bigger
