Cheltenham Festival Roll-Ups

5/6 Hewick today in the 4:27 Thurles looks too good to be true doesn't it? 20lb and 16lb in hand with his two other rivals and that doesn't include the jockeys 7lb claim as well. Doesn't have a bad record fresh (Won a King George after a similar break) and won a harder race than this over c/d in March.

Fantastic spot, snagged some 10/11 for roll ups and a single to cover the stake!

I like ombudsman tomorrow and at 15/8, I think that he’s a little overpriced. I’ve gone on roll ups with kopek in arkle and new lion in churdle

Eng playIng on a terrible deck here in the T20, been using unders for roll ups, all rates 171.5 to 179.5, be surprised if they get 160…

Cashed all i had on BDA for the Arkle at a loss and going in on.....
Shetalkstoangels Bath 2.55 @10/11

Have I missed an interview on BDA ?
This is a horse who they thought would win a champion hurdle 7 months ago, they must by now realise that Leopardstown performance bottomed her and will campaign her to win races after Christmas, so I'd be shocked if they lowered their sights to a G2.
Unless I've missed an announcement for me she'd be heading to the Arkle, switching back to timber or swerving Cheltenham altogether...

You have missed nothing. I have come to the point that they will see shes not as good as they thought and lower their sights. For me she wont win an Arkle so its the MC for me.

Funny how the ALCS games have been thrillers, meanwhile in the NL, robotic Dodgers just paste everyone.

It will be up first thing for the highlights before Instagram spoils it for me (I know whose won each night cos that club is first in my feed)

PS Could you please tell the Mariners pitchers to stop trying to take our players out by hitting them :ROFLMAO:

OK, for you to have parted with cash you are bound to know more that me/done more research and backing that with a bet is the right thing to do, I'm not sure they'll agree she isn't as good as they thought, she was heavily backed in the Champion Hurdle but barely walked over the line.
If she can't be trained to win a G1 in the Spring I suspect they'll have her in the breeding sheds before the boats leave for Cheltenham....

@Istabraq Hand on heart can you see her winning an Arkle?
To be honest I couldn’t see her jumping fences; they always said Romeo Coolio is their Arkle horse so you’ve have to assume switching BDA to fences she’ll avoid that one, which should give you some confidence in your BDA Mares bet, I just don’t think they’ll build their season around a what could be a weakish small field G2.
But you’d have to say that Leopardstown win was jaw dropping and an open G1/Championship calibre performance, it reminded me of Apples Jade at Aintree, but it clearly took so much out of her she was done for the season.
I could obviously be completely wrong on all counts….

I believe she would be the highest rated hurdler going 2m novice chasing this year even before accounting for her 7lb allowance... She had also beaten State Man on that run before Leopardstown, so yes, on ability and the weights then I can see her winning an Arkle. I would go as far as to say potentially she could go Champion Chase if she takes to fences. Not as though Gigginstown has much else for the race. Obviously it would be a significant scenario of her proving equally as good over fences, getting enough experience and the Champion Chase cutting up, but based on hurdles ability then who knows. They must think she has the potential to be as good over fences as hurdles which is some bar to set.

For me, BDA is simply not bred to be a 2 miler and the Leopardstown win was throttle out the whole way, killing the rest of the season. Some are convinced that she can't jump, and I suppose that we'll find that out in the next couple of months, but if she carries on over fences I'd have thought that the logical plan would be the Mares Chase in March and the Gold Cup in 2027.
All the vibes were that Elliott persuaded O'Leary to go for the Champion Hurdle rather than the Mares Hurdle and I don't see the former having much say this season.

2 visits to the festival, 2 disappointments. At one point do we accept she isn't a festival horse?

Go beat the Dodgers for us!

Chasing was being mooted after her Mares novice performance at the festival and that she was marking time over hurdles

After last years early season performance over hurdles, which was nothing short of amazing, then I don’t understand why she will not have the pace for 2m G1 open novice chases? She’s rated top 2m hurdler going chasing and she’s young so may improve again?

If she takes to fences then IMO she wins every trial in Ireland and has to go to Cheltenham.

Whether she doesn’t like Cheltenham or not, then she should be in the book at 20/1

If she doesnt take to fences then could the Stayers G1 be the more likely race for her at the festival, rather than the Mares Hurdle ?…..as Elliot already has a very good challenger in Wodhooh

I know he has Teahupoo in the stayers but he is getting on a bit!
