25/26 Out for the Season

A horse I was keen on last season, Billytherealbigred is OFTS, along with Masaccio.

Lascar Du Mathan (Elliott/Robcour) is sadly no longer with us.

One horse who won't be seen on track any time soon is Broadway Boy, who may have had his last taste of competitive action after picking up an injury.

"He's still not back in work," said Twiston-Davies. "He's very well and happy in the field but it looks like he'll probably have to be retired. He'll always have a home for life here and he's very happy, but I don't think he'll be able to run again."

Chianti Classico retired as per Kim Bailey:

"We all had a great visit to Enda Bolger's stables last week to see him cantering and although everything looked to be going in the right direction, Chianti Classico took a backward step earlier this week, and we don't need backward steps.

"The welfare of the horse is the most important thing, and, on that note, we've decided the most sensible thing to do is retire him and let him have a wonderful life away from racing, which I'm sure he will."

….Cromwell re Brides Hill & Limerick Lace;

Brides; ‘She was a brilliant mare for us, winning eight races and finishing second in the Mares’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, but she has been retired from racing.’

Limerick; ‘She’s another mare that was brilliant for us, most memorably winning the Mares’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in 2024, but she has also been retired from racing.’
