2026 Novice Chasers

Ian Donoghue knows Derryhassen Paddy better than anybody. He trained the Albert Bartlett third to win his point-to-point before he was bought and sent over to the Lucinda Russell stable.

Derryhassen Paddy is a 20-1 shot with bet365 for the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase at next year's Cheltenham Festival and, when you listen to what Donoghue has to say, you might be tempted to take a piece of that.

"Derryhassen Paddy was sold after he won his point-to-point for us, but he would have put me on the map if I managed to keep him," he said.

"We loved him all along from the minute we started off with him. When we started galloping him there was nothing we could get to gallop with him. He's definitely the real deal."

Yep, the odds are certainly against DP. There's some comfort in that the BANC has been a very lucky race for this side of the water compared to other way races. Not sure why though?
 
Why would Willie enter Kitzbuhel in the Hattons, when he said in his stable tour that the horse was going chasing this season?
 
Walsh swerved Kopek Des Bordes as his one to watch from Closutton over hurdles, instead opting for another Grade 1 winner.

He said: “Final Demand for me — he was the one who stood out to me anyway. You’d imagine he would be further than two miles, but I just thought he was really impressive.

“Kopek definitely needs to jump a fence better than he jumped a hurdle, in my eyes anyway.”

I think the plan is to go to Punchestown with Irancy, he’s certainly going to stay hurdling as far as I know and he's not one to overlook.

I know perhaps he picked up the pieces in Punchestown when last seen but he is a lightly-raced and rapidly-improving horse, so not one to overlook. The track and the ground will be no fear for him.’

Shouldn’t sleep on Irancy at 33/1 for the CH now that he has been confirmed as continuing hurdling this season…….

At least by waiting for a dec you know he's fit. If he gets beat his price drifts anyway.

Same price again today as she was yesterday now with every book, coming in two points then pushed back out.
July Flower has been backed into evens for the Arkle on the exchanges,means fcuk all at this stage though,just idiots throwing fivers around.
