2026 Champion Hurdle

Elite hurdle at Wincanton tomorrow needs fucking off.
What a wanky waste of space of a race.
They'll rename it for next season as the Rubaud hurdle.
Bellends.
Used to be quite a race back in the day.

That whole card is a bit of a shocker considering decent prize money.

I used to enjoy the card at wincation but wow, this weekend looks dire :-(

Really want to get stuck into a weekend race card, may have to watch until Cheltenham’s Nov meet

….could it be linked to the ground, they spoke with the clerk on telly today and it’s been a while since they had rain?

He had a great last campaign, stepping up from his win in the Challow to land the Turners Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, which was great to be a part of. We're planning to step back in trip this term, hopefully starting out in the Fighting Fifth on November 29. The plan is to go from there and end up in the Champion Hurdle, but what route we take with him will depend on what he tells us from race to race when he drops back to two miles. We won't do anything we're not comfortable with and we'll listen to the horse all the way. Hopefully, they'll have plenty of rain at Newcastle for what looks like being an exciting race, with Constitution Hill and others turning up. I'm looking forward to it.

With Stateman out of for the season. What will this mean for kargese and Salvator could see them staying over hurdles now. And Lossie now becomes a champion hurdles.

Could certainly see one of Kargese or Salvator staying over hurdles.

Don't think Lossiemouth will be switching just yet though. Anzadam could still be absolutely anything!

I've just backed Kargese @ 33's. Hoping Salvator still goes over fences.

Could have impact on what they do with Lulamba as well if Anzadam falls short.
Loads could happen. Too much to think about 😂

JDG as well

Kopek could switch back......

Best to just let it all unfold.

My first reaction after hearing the news this morning with State Man was that Willie will consider targeting both Anzadam and Lossiemouth here.

Lossiemouth has a 2m(ish) high of 152 RPR from her 2nd to Constitution Hill at Kempton. Kargese has a high of 152 RPR from her 3rd in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle at the end of last season. Still young and improving I can see Kargese now being given another year over hurdles. I agree Kargese may be worth nibbling at 33/1 with doubts about her getting 2 1/2m of Mares Hurdle/Chase and Mullins little history of running mares in the Arkle.
