this week's entries

ComplyOrDie was correct with Anzadam and Dancing City targets, both entered at Naas.

Also plenty of maidens entered at Fairyhouse Kawboomga, Kocktail Divin, William Munny.

Charlus & Leggionaire Forez also entered up for Willie in the juvenile race :encouragement:

Diva Luna takes up her Friday Sandown entry as expected.

Mares Novice Hurdle could be in for some shake up with her and Maughreen out within days of each other.

I hope that Maughreen wins and continues to make the market. She may well go on and win the MNH - but she's just too short for me.
(What's the biggest that she has been?)

I still think that 6.5 is the standard setter and would be much shorter if trained by Willie.

It's another underwhelming division at the moment, but still a few weeks for something to come out and light it up.

Wade Out goes again for the 'Under The Radar' novice hurdle list in the 2m4f Grade 2 on trials day at Cheltenham. He's finally up in trip which I've felt he's always needed, but he's also up in grade too. The race is on the new course which should play to his strengths as he's a strong finisher. I'm not sure he'll beat the favorite but I think a top three finish is very possible.

Ah, 'hiding' him in a Grade 2, good work from Olly :encouragement:

One of my previous posts on him mentioned handicaps as a possibility as he started out early. But he’d still need another run after this if that’s the plan. I have a feeling they might be running on merit though this weekend.

Will likely run on merit but not good enough, hence being able to hide in a race of this nature :encouragement:

Given Potters Charm is rated 146 albeit giving them 5lbs, you'd not want to be getting too close to him, unless of course you actually believe you can win the race, which I'd have my doubts about.

I'm confused, is he or isn't he running on merit then? :highly_amused:

Sorry, I think they will run him on his merit, but with one eye on the festival as a handicap option, I'm hoping he doesn't get too close, not saying connections will be bothered about that.

Goraibhmaithagat goes again today for the 4yo P2P list at Punchestown today. He belied the drift on debut to win at 16/1 over 2m, finishing strongly. He's upped to 2m4f today which is where I thought he'd earn his money this season and is currently favourite for the race. He has no festival entries so if he does go well again, he'll likely move up in grade at another spring festival.

Mossy Fen Road is declared to run for the 4yo P2P list in the bumper tomorrow at Chepstow. He was declared earlier in the season but was pulled out and then I assume got caught up in the issues at Harry's yard and is only ready again now. He's not one I thought would be a genuine bumper horse so this is likely just experience. It's a tricky little race too with a couple of other point recruits who will relish the conditions.

Agreed. Really hoping they stand their ground.

Gordon elliott has entered minella sixo in to another pertemps qualifier, Sunday at Musselburgh
He's also entered harsh and Samui, who was 9th in last years county hurdle, and has never raced beyond 2m 2f, but has won at 2m 1f on the flat.

Fantastic.

Would love IEP to turn up and win that well.

…Hills have cut MS to 8-1 NRNB.

Karoline Banbou declared for Fairyhouse having being pulled out last week due to a cough.

Not much in there other than a 4 year old Giggs juvenile from the same yard and Swing Davis who was an expensive recruit to Elliott IIRC yet to deliver on her purchase price.
