Hi mate,

Hope all is well.

You clearly have a good link into the Nicholls yard - any idea if they've given a name to 200k Blue Bresil store they bought at the 2019 Derby Sale? Was called Gemini Cricket at the sales.

Been waiting for name/entries for ages, but perhaps never even made it into the yard.

Cheers

Hi Bonjers,
Sorry but I don't have much insight into the yard, missus works at a equine hospital hence I know about the ones who end up injured.
A few years ago I could've asked around but we both got out of racing so I tend to not ask & let people tell me anything going on with certain yards.
I'll make a note on the horse & will keep a eye & ear out for anything for you though.

best wishes & be good.

Well I got an automatic reply, so at least they got it. It's a funny one. I can make a deposit with my card but not withdraw. They are blaming the bank, the bank blaming them. Seems bizarre and ridiculous that I cannot access my money. Worked OK in the past but has stopped working over the last couple of weeks.
Hi

Hope you're well. Would you be able to let me know how you word it to get Energumene voided please?

Thanks

Hi mate
When you go on live chat select 'other' as the reason for needing help, this apparently gives you a 'general help' customer service person. I then just said I made a mistake on the bet by selecting the horse in the wrong race, few minutes wait and they voided the bet for me.
Hi Spectre. Would be able to divulge re Pink in the Park? Sorry - I bet you’ve had scores of DMs :distracted:

Hi Spectre, hope you’re well.
Are you happy sharing this horse you alluded to today ?
HouJeng gave Benter the idea to bet on horses in Hong Kong. Betting on horse racing or horse betting commonly occurs at many horse races. If you want to bet on Hong Kong racing, then you can place your bets at HouJeng. HouJeng is organization providing horse racing, sporting and betting entertainment in Hong Kong.
Morning Craigy.

I haven't seen anything yet for the Nunthorpe and gutted that he's not in the Kings Stand. Can't wait to see him again though. Great interview with WW.

Yeah same, after backing him when you mentioned for the Breeders cup and hearing he has had a setback for Ascot wasn’t the best.

It was a really good interview, I’ve permed most of his 2 year olds haha! I took note of Kealy asking who was the biggest as well, Lucci in the Norfolk.

Well I’ll keep checking markets, I’d imagine it might pop up after Ascot, hopefully battash wins as it may keep the price for Golden Pal reasonable.
Hi Curly,

How are you? Nice purchase you made at Doncaster - all the best with him.

Do you have any other horses in training? I know Tristan, in my opinion you couldn't send a horse to a better smaller yard and his strike rate is excellent across both codes.

Are you also a fellow Cumbrian? If not, how did you come across Tristan?

Hi Rufus,

Yeah, I’m from West Cumbria, near a village called arlecdon. Are you from Cumbria?

I’ve got two with Tristan (Torngat and Ugo du misselot) and I’ve just sold a mare she was called style it out. (She’s now in foal).

Ugo has had a wind op and I’m expecting a good season next year with him.
Torngat I think I’ve got a really good deal he was only beat by 2 lengths by kingofthewest (lot423) which went for ?66k. Torngat is unfit and I have no doubt Tristan will find a lot of improvement, he’s out to grass now for a couple of months.

I also have a 2yr with Karl burke called sport mode. I also have some very small shares in some of nick bradley horses.

Thanks

Graeme
Hello mate,

What is your name I'll check I've received it so I can cross it off my list :)
DG thank you ever so much for all the weather maps, entries, and decs that you kindly post.

Evening Spectre, I have a sizeable bet on Quilixious in the Triumph and can cash out for profit, are you able to let me know if you have heard for sure that this horse will run in the Boodles instead? Appreciate you may not be able to say.
Hi mate.

Appreciate the stuff you put up about accounts. Would you be willing to do me a favour, and ask your friend if he can gather what the general feeling on stopping somebody from accessing their winnings from any open bets are? I'm currently in dispute with Betfair as they've closed my account and have said that any winnings won't be returned from my open bets.

Cheers

Hi Ryan, see below hope some of this helps. Work through the links and the formal process is the advice.

The answer to your question isn't clear cut and "It depends".

There is widespread opinion that the gambling industry,? although ostensibly highly regulated tends to utilse the various terms and conditions to their own maximum advantage.

For the customer,? Its almost a case of guilty until proven innocent, with little opportunity for meaningful interaction unless the formal complaints processes are fully adhered to,? often requiring formal arbitration before anything is done. For the betting companies there seems to be little redress and public opinion outside of those directly effected is lukewarm or non existent. Does anyone feel sorry for gamblers, not really.

But (and this is where the legislation and formal procedures apply), if you can prove that you have done nothing illegal (such as fraud, money laundering, identity theft etc) or which contravenes their T&Cs, then either as part of the formal complaint process or subsequent arbitration, they will ultimately have to disclose why they have acted the way they have and set out some evidence or suspiscions.

Apparently it is vital to document as much as possible, deposits (when and how made), similarly the open bets and their future win values and when they are due for settlement. Where this information isn't known because no longer available then formally request it as part of the company complaints process. Put everything in writing, follow the complaints process to the letter and send chasers and ask for status reports.

You are well aware no doubt of the T&Cs but copied below example ones for PP / Betfair as indicative of those used throughout the Industry and key clauses.

22. Closure of Accounts

22.1. Please contact our Customer Service if you wish to close your Account.

22.2. After your account has been closed, it will remain closed unless and until you ask for it to be re-opened. However, we may refuse to re-open your account in certain circumstances (including where a permanent exclusion or self-exclusion has been applied to your account pursuant to our responsible gambling practices - see Clause 20 above).

22.3. Account holders who wish to recover funds held in a closed, locked or excluded account are also advised to contact Customer Service.

22.4. We are entitled to close your Account at our discretion and without having to disclose any reasons, and where deemed necessary on written notice (or attempted notice) to you using the contact details you have provided. Any balance in your Account will be made available to you, unless we are permitted to withhold the funds in accordance with Clause 8.27 of these Terms of Use.

22.5. In the event of a dispute over the termination of your Account by us for any reason please see our Dispute Resolution policy.

8.27. Following termination or suspension of your account, the Trustee will, in the normal course of events, return any funds in your account to you in accordance with the Trust Deed. However, we reserve the right to notify the Trustee to withhold the funds in your account from you pending the determination of any investigation (including any relevant external investigation) where:

8.27.1. we suspect you have acted in breach of these Terms of Use or any other agreement relevant to your activities on our site, including where we suspect the account has been linked with fraudulent or ‘suspicious betting’ activity (explained in Clause 9); and/or

8.27.2. we have to notify the Trustee to withhold the funds in your account by law or to comply with any advice, request or instruction from any governmental, regulatory or enforcement authority.

Also attached below are some links to the most useful related info on the Gambling Commission, Resolver and IBAS websites (skim through the suggested pages) and also OnlinebettingOrg posted previously.

It must be immensely frustrating and like knocking your head against a brick wall but just resign yourself to going through the formal processes and channels. If you still don't get the outcome you deserve then get a Twitter Account and name and shame.

Best of luck with resolving this to your satisfaction.

Steve

Hi

If possible I'd like to see the spreadsheet that updates from oddschecker every so often. I don't bet but I'm interested in seeing how it works, how the data is imported etc

If possible can you send to thediamondgeezer@virginmedia.com

Thanks very much

Kev, yes it was the anna option.

I see.

So it lets you put in an "amount"
Then you'd just put your username where is says "what is it for"
Email address (optional)
Tick the circle to say you agree to ANNA's policy, then hit "Connect and Pay"

Then find the bank and it redirects you to there website?

Is that right so far? (I'm learning as I go too!)
