Gabynako has been put to sleep after suffering an untreatable back injury in the Galway Plate.
 
Grangee retired to stud due to a performance affecting heart issue.

Not really of interest for Cheltenham (probably more applicable to Aintree) but Ribble Valley retired, according to Mark Howard's racing diary.
 
run4home does know best. Despite initially thinking they'd retire her connections had a change of heart and have decided to keep her in training.

Sky Pirate suffered a fatal back injury at Sandown in the Celebration Chase.

"That was sad," said the trainer of the 2021 Grand Annual winner. "Everyone loved him and he was a cracking individual. It was just nice to get the hang of him in the end but it took us long enough."
