Many thanks to @somer1 for facilitating the November effort and now it’s the turn of @Durham Edition to captain the December wager.

Busy month & plenty of racing to go on, frightening to think that after this one we’ll only have two more ahead of the main event, which brings me on to asking for a couple of volunteers to cover those final two months. Whether you’ve been on here for a while or are a newbie, it’s a terrific way to get involved, especially at the pointy end of the season.

Two volunteers please 🙏

I don’t mind mind taking one one of them @Eggs unless some of the newbie’s want to get involved

…cheers, Sean, the January bet is yours.

One more volunteer would be really appreciated.

Give some thought to the deadline too, races come thick and fast late in the month and markets move quickly....

…..another volunteer would be appreciated to captain February?

I was thinking about trying to get Decembers done before the Xmas races to try and grab some of the value before it all goes or on the otger hand our winning ticket looks lile a losing ticket. How would people feel about it going up on the 23rd or would people rather one after the Xmas action and going up on the 31st or both?

….pre-Christmas sounds sensible to me, especially as you could have many of the post-Christmas entries to factor in.

Up to you whether you also want to throw in another wager, maybe leave that option open and decide at the time, especially if there’s a few obvious ones to get onside.

The man from Bristol he say YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Works perfectly for me as I planned to stick predominantly to NRNB this season after my poor performance last. Have only staked a 5th of where I was at this stage last year so , while I have taken a risk with some, I'm happy that I've held off backing several that I've talked up. Have definitely missed out on a few that I'd normally have backed in previous years like Final Demand, Wodhooh and my fav girl Lossiemouth but looking forward to hopefully picking a popular Yankee out in February with the added bonus of NRNB.

…..I haven’t re-checked this stat but something i posted yesterday might be of consideration for @Durham Edition in this months selections;

Over the last 5 years, Mullins has trained 7 of the 15 festival novice hurdle winners & 6 out of those 7 winners did not make their debut until December that season.

Possibly more than a 90% chance that if Mullins picks up one or more of the Novice Hurdle races, then we haven’t seen that horse run yet this season.

Doctor du Mesnil & Fou de Toi two obvious ones to consider getting on board. Certainly something to watch.

Post #514 in Novice Hurdle thread contains detail.

Come on Fat Jockeys get your ideas in here for a pre christmas yankee.

….worth noting @Saxon Warrior December race planner which will hopefully go up soon, more specifically pre-empting the post-Christmas races that have most impact on the Festival.

For example, Sir Gerhard and KDB both won 2m maiden at Leop on 26th Dec.

Tough ask this one, value gone for a fair few that we've already seen this season, unless you can forgive some bad or average runs and in turn take some bigger prices (The Yellow Clay for example), but the ones I think are still big enough on what we've seen so far are:

No Drama This End / Love Me Tender (Turners) - No Drama This End runs tomorrow though so likely could be saying goodbye to his price, if he were to win of course.

Jimmy Du Seuil (BANC) - Think this one is pretty obvious. Very little between him and Final Demand at the moment, IMO, yet is still double figures!

Jango Baie / The Jukebox Man (Ryanair) - Really impressed with both of their seasonal reappearances, 7/1 & 16/1 (top prices) are fair, IMO.

Classical Creek (Bartlett) - Will have to take a leap that he is Gordons Bartlett horse, however the trainer has an abundance of possible horses for this race so this one comes with plenty more risks. 25/1 is a right price though, after a very impressive debut over hurdles.
