What are the whispers? This time last year not many had heard of Kemboy or Pic D'Orhy.... For example.
 
Quite a difference between Kemboy and Pic D'Orhy :highly_amused:


This time last year only people watching French racing knew about Pic D'Orhy, and there was no way of knowing he'd end up over here...

Given the following list of my fancies I am trying to have a best guess at likely targets. Any pointers gratefully received:

Champ (RSA)
Minella Indo (RSA)
Klassical Dream (champion hurdle)
Delta Work
A Plus Tard (Any)
Angels Breath
Fusil Raffles
Birchdale (Any)
Thomas Darby (Arkle)
Blue Sari (supreme)
La Richebourg (champion chase)
lamarckise (Mares novice hurdle)
Saldier (Any)
Altior (Champion Chase?)
Santini (Gold Cup)

I do still have a soft spot for Pic D'Orhy even with the 12th place last time but changing to Paul Nicolls he is still going to be a force over hurdles and he has now run the course so may not be as green. Which race though..... ??

Is Pic D’Orhy definitely staying hurdling?? Have I missed something? I thought they’s said chasing was the game.
 
Nicholls was especially animated when discussing Pic D’Orhy, one of the leading juvenile hurdlers in France last year and tenth in the Triumph Hurdle on his debut for the yard.

He said: “I'm very excited about this horse, but we all know what a difficult year it can be for second-season hurdlers, so what do we do with him? Johnny [de la Hey, owner) is open-minded, so we’ll get together and make a plan. He has chaser written all over him and reminds me of Master Minded.”

While I'm on I might also mention that cyrname is only listed for the Ryanair and not the QMCC...
 
Alitor cyrname CPS champion chase would be a cracker
 
If we ever got decent ground for him to run on at the festival Sceau Royal would come into this in a big way.
 
Also going to throw Aramon back in the mix. Think he had a tough ride last year but fancy him bouncing back with power this season.
