Aladin Du Rheu

“Won a point-to-point very well. He’s not overly-big but is athletic and is doing some nice work. Definitely one who could be taking top rank."

Ceasar’s Ball

“A nice Great Pretender who came to us from Sam Curling. He’s a sharp looking horse and maybe more speedy that a normal point-to-pointer. I’m very happy with him."

Cleverfox

"He was going to win his point-to-point and ran out at the second last. I went on to win on the horse who came through to win it that day, New Grange, at Listowel for Tom Cooper which was a good franking of form. Adam Leahy, who trained him in Points, worked here before and is a good young fella who he recommended him highly. Berkshire, his sire, gives horses a bit of speed and he could be interesting."

Gold Steel

"By Beaumec De Houelle and a fine big, strong horse. He’s more your typical point-to-pointer and came from Derek O’Connor. He said he’s relaxed and going to be a staying horse. One for the future."

Milady Du Plessis

"A filly by Jeu Eloi, the same sire as Kargese, and came from Mark O’Hare. Honeysuckle came from him too and this is a chestnut filly who has settled in very well and seems very relaxed. You need a good team of bumper fillies, there’s the big €100,000 race at the DRF and the Grade Three at Punchestown. There’s the race at Aintree too and she could end up in those sort of races with a bit of luck."

Mister Boum

"A fine, big horse by Buck’s Boum who was the sire of Al Boum Photo and he’s out of a half-sister to Cyrname so it’s a lovely pedigree. For a horse of his stature to win a four-year-old maiden point in the spring says a lot and I’m hoping he could be one of our top bumper horses this season."

Monzon Sport

"He’s by Goliath Du Berlais who everyone is mad about at the moment. Again a proper point-to-point looking horse he’s tall, strong, and we’ve had a lot of luck out of Pat Doyle’s before. Looking at him he ticks all the boxes and hopefully he can do it on the track as well."

Peckham Echo

"A very different type. He’s by Jukebox Jury and is typical of his stock, smaller, slighter and sharper. He’s a bit like Il Etait Temps. I'd be hoping he might be a bumper type who’s out a bit earlier and is a bit speedier than some of the bigger types we have."

Rubyball

"A grey son of No Risk At All and another from Pat Doyle’s. The sire’s horses can have a lot of speed, I’m thinking of Epatante and while Allaho stretched out over further, he was a two-and-a-half mile specialist. Again he’s a smaller, sharper type so looks to me like a real bumper horse."
