Looks like a competitive days racing

My 3 main fancies at the prices would be

Inthewaterside 2:20

If the first time hood works and stops him from getting so worked up before the race and from overracing in the first mile he could be thrown in off 129

Croke Park 4:40

Comes here fresh and looks as though he will be much better over 3 miles. Almost all of his rivals had hard races or flopped in the bartlett.

Go Dante 5:15

This looks a considerably weaker race than the ones he's been running in. Should take plenty of beating, unless the byrnes horse is a proper byrnes plot job.

Also think Giovinco and Golden Ace are overpriced.

Can see the mares putting it up to the geldings In that race and in the 2m4f grade 1 on saturday.

Can't pick between jonbon, pic dorhy, protektorat and envoi. They all seem priced about right.

….decent day yesterday, 12-1 Sans Bruit & Diva Luna certainly helped. Not playing big, so for a bit of interest;

1.45; Broadway Bob
2.20; Kateira; Sonigino e/w 25-1
2.22; Dysart; Lump Sum e/w 25-1
3.30; Easy Game e/w 20-1 1st3
4.05; Your Darling 20-1 AP; JDB 16-1 AP
4.40; Croke Park
5.15; Densworth 20-1 e/w; Pikar e/w

e/w double (free bet); Broadway/Dysart

I have a torrid Aintree record, so I'm mostly marking a card, picking something to win, not betting on it and watching to see how I get on

Managed one second and a fifth yesterday lol

However, Croke Park is a real bet I will place today. If Stellar STory was meant to be held back for this guy, I'm gonna chance my arm at that price

Ocastle des mottes/Theatre Man 2.20
inothewayurthinkin 1.45
James de berlais 4.05
Reading Tommy Wrong 4.40
Protektorat 3.30 *****NAP

Both Mares out......real shame that for everyone concerned.

Hopefully protektorat wins for you after I said he didn't need to be backed antepost

Happy to have egg on my face lol

A couple of winners yesterday for a good start so onto day two
1.45 Iroko
2.20 Inthewaterside
3.30 Protektorat
4.40 Croke Park
Singles and Lucky15

Normally a good thing when we all seem to be on the same sort of horses. But I have a bad memory of this outside of Cheltenham.

I'm amazed at how short the fav is in the first. And that Giovinco is the outsider of the field. I had it between Gio and Iroko as my bets.

Inthewaterside, Croke Park and Densworth others that have been mentioned that I've backed.

And a muggy JP fav double of Mystical and Jonbon.

Backed the 3 above along with Kandoo Kid in a Yankee so here’s hoping mate :triumphant:

Mystical in a double with found a fifty antepost so the news the mares were out was music to my ears!

I thought Heart Wood and Broadway boy were maybe the angle in the opener having not raced at Cheltenham but there was good performances yesterday from festival horses, so the 4 week gap is not against horses who are doing both imo.

Also James Du Berlais in the Topham, think most of the forum are on him!

Thought nico outrode Townend yesterday
although probably on the better horse.
not as many obvious pricing errors today but Jon on and mystical were both 5-2 on early shows but mystical price affected by the mares not running

I’ve done a related each way treble on the first 3 home in the ultima for a bit of fun.

first race very tricky with impressive handicap winners stepping up. I went with heart wood.

Lucky 15 for me

Inothewayurthinkin
Kateira
James Du Berlais
Pic dorhy

Bet365 Super Boosting Mystical power from 1-1 to 6-4 for those interested

A lucky 15 for me.
iroko
Champagne twist
protektorat
Shanagh Bob
was a tough choice between bob and croke park so had a single on CP as well.

Biggest bet of the week for me on James Du Berlais (20/1, 16/1). If he can get into a nice rhythm, then I think he'll go close.

I missed the fancy prices on Densworth but think he'll go really well in the last.

Dysart Enos not running is an ante post loser, unfortunately. With the way the race shapes now, I'm all over Firefox and i think he'll reverse the Supreme form.

Jonbon, Croke Park, Iroko and Broadway Boy are others I've backed.

- Chianti Classico
- Inthewaterside/Whats Up Darling
- Pic D’Orhy
- Frero Banbou/Shantreusse
- Croke Park
- Zeeband/Skycutter

Good luck all!

Such sad news for connections and Lucinda for losing Giovinco!

Didn’t get a chance to fulfil the potential he’s shown this season. RIP.
