Post your plots :)

I dont think this is one BTW...

Dan Skelton's six-year-old enjoyed a profitable autumn, winning twice at Chepstow, including in the Silver Trophy, before finishing fourth in the Ladbroke at Ascot.

He was well beaten when falling at the final flight on his first start at Grade One level in the Tolworth, with Skelton of the belief it was one run too many.

The Warwickshire trainer said: "He's come out of the race 100 per cent.

"Having run in the Ladbroke only a fortnight ago, I think he was probably just a bit jaded, but it was only a four-runner race and had to be competed in.

"I'm a bit disappointed he's now got an 'F' by his name as he doesn't deserve it. He just got stuck in the mud.

"He'll have a good break now and definitely won't run again between now and the Coral Cup.

"He'll then only run in the Coral Cup if we're 100 per cent happy with him, otherwise we'll wait for Aintree."

Tom Scudamore

In the last I ride Dell Arca. He’s dropping back to two miles. He ran OK in the Lanzarote but hasn’t got anywhere near the form he was showing last year unfortunately, for whatever reason. Hopefully he can bounce back at some stage. He’s run four times this season and his only bit of good form was behind Coneygree at Newbury. Other than that he’s been very disappointing and hasn’t matched the heights he reached last year. Look if he bounces back he bounces back but I’m riding him with hope rather than expectation to be honest.

;)

He was bouncing back today ...Coral Cup not an option now ?

This has been a decent trial in the past..

ROLLING STAR ATR Tracker’s first run of the season was a disappointing one on paper, but I’d say he will improve an awful lot for it. The trouble is that he also has a good record fresh so knowing when he’s right is very tricky – he’s always promised plenty at home and is the sort who could surprise us all one day.

Jessica

Road To Riches, which is quite good form and she’ll run in the two-mile-five handicap chase provided that the ground is reasonably good. She always goes well fresh, so I’d be happy that she’d run a good race and she’s a good jumper. She won at Punchestown last year over two-five so I think it’s the right distance for her.

Hoof - which horse is she referring to here?

Totally agree LR this is definitely one to leave until the morning of the race IMO. Been lucky enough to pick both Medinas and Whisper the last few years so I will definitely look for a class angle in this race but you never know who's going to turn up and with what mark.

The few that have caught my eye early are:

Volnay de Thaix: Very good second to Rock on Ruby lto in the Reelkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham. Only other festival entry is the world hurdle but surely he's Henderson's 4th choice behind Whisper, Beat that and Blue fashion so could easily see him running here although rated 158 he'll be certain to carry top weight but i think he's best at 2 and a half miles and there is value in him at 20/1

Others are like that could carry a lot less are Evan Williams On Tour, Noel Meade's Snow Falcon and Willie Mullins Arbre de Vie who has some form and could be very very good but all have lots of festival targets so are untouchable AP unless anyone knows where they're headed.

Im going to get stuck into the handicaps tonight and tomorrow - might not be posting for a while.

No probs Hoof. ;)

This race is a minefield ap. When can we expect the field to be narrowed down?

Grade 3, £80,000 Total Prize Fund. Cheltenham, 2.40pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, two miles and five furlongs. For four-year-olds and upwards.

Penalties: after February 22, a winner of a hurdle race 5lb. No penalty to increase a horse’s weight above 11st 12lb.

Entries closed February 17 (156 entries), entries released February 19, weights revealed February
25.

Six-day confirmation stage March 5,

Final declaration stage 10am, March 10. Maximum field of 26.

I will do some work on them over the weekend and might even have a stab at the weights. This weekends racing isnt exciting me.

Had a bit of luck on this race over the years but was at Cheltenham last year on Coral Cup day and one of my mates backed Whisper and I thought why the hell is he backing a horse carrying all that weight! It just shows with these handicaps sometimes.

Kilcooley out today

"If he runs well we might look at the Coral Cup (at Cheltenham).

"His run last time was a bit flat but it was his fourth run inside the space of two months.

"If he doesn't run well it will be back to the drawing board.

"Although he bolted up at Haydock, I would say his strongest piece of form was in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury when he finished six lengths behind L'Ami Serge and nine lengths ahead of Violet Dancer."

Nice £28k pot for Kilcooley there and a bit easier than winning the Coral Cup.

Hammersly Lake has had a wind operation and will go for the Coral Cup. He could run well. Lyvius is in there too. The secret to his success has been getting him there fresh. Volnay De Thaix will run in the Coral Cup but with him off 158 he is guaranteed top weight.

Rolling Star is very talented and had his first run at Ascot over two-miles-three-furlongs the other day and he will head to the Coral Cup. He was favourite for the County Hurdle last year but he wants a trip.
