Bet Victor ones are coming through. Prompt, as always. Flutter on the other hand….

Sky and PP tend to settle at 6 day entries (at the very earliest) - maybe it’s 48hr decs BerVictor pay very promptly. Bumper NR’s come through earlier this afternoon

2026 Jack Richards Novice Limited Handicap Chase

I’ve back him with a Free Bet, but Willies lack of a Handicap Chase winner (madness!) tempers my enthusiasm.

My only worry with Lulamba, is that he takes a while to warm up and can look a bit sluggish early on. Ruby on RTC talks about 4 fences in quick succession early on in Arkle/CC - which has always been Jonbons undoing… IF there is early pace (which there might not be), he could be up against it...

    2026 Stayers Hurdle

Skelton is probably trying to get his mark down for a go at the Pertemps!

Have there been any post-race comments from Gordon yet?

    2026 Champion Chase

I think that it's a combination of things. Jobon's record at Cheltenham isn't great, he's generally improves for his 1st run and at 4/11, everyone will be looking to take him on and tip "value". (and I don't think that Henderson is on amazing form at the moment) As such, he's drifted. 4/11...

    2026 Champion Hurdle

Makes sense, but it's still an "if" and certainly not one I'd part with any cash on until any entries...

    2026 Champion Hurdle

And the potential "reserve" being mentioned won't be seen out until at least after Xmas and whose well-being isn't guaranteed!

Not seen it mentioned elsewhere, but "Road To Cheltenham" with Lydia and Ruby is back on Thursday 13th November at 10am. 😊

Very impressed. Only time will tell what he's beaten, but deserves to take his chance up in grade. Could still be one that turns up in March unbeaten and gets swatted aside by the Irish, but looked to have loads left in the tank

Yep. And Gillespie drifted like a barge when everyone saw what a porker he was 😆 😆

Happy enough with that from Gillespie. They went no pace at all then sprinted for home. Looked after by Harry once the race had gone and stayed on one-paced Will be better over further and on a slower surface and will come on a bundle, fitness wise. But I don't think he'll be challenging for...

Thanks! Most Owners Group horses are over-bet, due to the number of owners wanting to get on. Best priced 5/4 now! (Watching brief for me today. Don't need to back my own horses - unless I think that they are value 🤞 )

    2026 Novice Hurdlers

One that I'll be watching today is Gillespie in the first for Paul Nicholls at Chepstow. Mainly because I have a very small share (😊), but more with a view to the Albert Bartlett. Firstly, even if he is good enough, Paul Nicholls may well swerve the festival - as staying chases will be his game...

From memory, it was only a minor (un-named) set-back which ruled him out for a few weeks. With the ground only going to get worse, I guess that this forced their hand into taking a break and bringing back from the Spring, to avoid unsuitable ground. That's how I interpreted it....

    haha - yes close(ish) 3rd

    2026 Novice Chasers

It's a fair point, but the yard tends to have an abundance of stayers and I can't think of many decent 2 milers that he has had to go novice chasing with. Taking the close 2nd to KDB in the supreme, he has to have an EW chance if he turns up? Likely to be a small field and with no 2.5m G1...

Right.... so with two 66/1 shots in the book EW, that's the Albert Bartlett done ;)
