    2026 Grand National

Betfair was offering 12/1 a few days ago for Panic Attack in the who goes off favourite market, thought it was a great bet (y) Edit - can still get 12's, thats to go off as fav, nothing to do with if she wins or not. Might be a market we should look at as a collective next year...just saying...

There's a trainer in Lambourn who's had 2 winners across the last 3 festivals from about a quarter of what Gordons ran if not less, people say he's past it and is no good, funny old world isn't it.

Very flat there Sixmilebridge, didn't take a cut at any fences and stopped entering the straight after setting a very sedate pace.

Think Colm just might have another nice one there, she'd be interesting next season as tbf there's only the 2 top mares the rest aren't upto much (over hurdles I mean), for me she looks like the further the better so....she'll need to improve a fair bit but thats not impossible either, maybe...

Had a little ew on Potters Charm for the Aintree hurdle, thought 16's was a fair price. Mambonumberfive is a big price in the Manifesto, while I think Lulamba will be tough to beat, is always a chance that Cheltenham has taken more out of them than connections think. JPR One back to 2 miles in...

Don't want to upgrade that drainage too much, Willie won't bring anything over if it ends up a good ground meeting 😏

April ‘26 Yankee courtesy of @Hurricane Fly

If we're looking at prices for April maybe Macho Man for the CH is worth a mention, form from his Auteuil race looks fair, decent on first start for Willie, was pulled up too early to draw any conclusions from his Triumph run but he is one I think could stay hurdling next season, if he turns up...

    2027 The Prices on Offer

I'm half thinking that's what they'll be using Oscars Brother for, although I expect that'll be on the table for both if they don't show enough early next season, both will need to hit the ground running to keep the GC dream alive.

He's a Gold Cup horse for me, the way he was finishing at Fairyhouse & Leopardstown he just looks like the further the better.

Already have Romeo Coolio covered but have no confidence I'll collect on the bet, has never won a race between March & May and the display over the Cheltenham fences wasn't exactly inspiring, maybe connections might think about 2 or at most, 3 runs before the spring festivals next season. Can...

Agreed, the novices have to make some giant strides to challenge them, much as I like a few of those novices it'll take some big efforts to displace GW & F2F from the top spots over both trips. Wouldn't mind seeing them face off in the Punchestown GC, might give us another piece of the puzzle...

Wouldn't be thinking the Gaelic Warrior at Leopardstown is the same Gaelic Warrior who races at Cheltenham myself, form figures of 2211 at Cheltenham, over fences that becomes 11, away from leopardstown his figures read as 131112111, compare this to Leopardstown where he is 1UR232, the sole win...

Has Gordon confirmed that Wodhooh will be running at Aintree ? Was an article in the RP last week where he spoke about his plans for Aintree but didn't read it as not subscribed to them. Maybe someone here could shed some light on the plans as that might answer the above questions.

No entries until 3rd of April for majority of races so they'd only be guessing about who turns up. Topham entries closed on 24th March, Grand National on 3rd Febuary, think they're the only two early races at the meeting..

Anyone else looking at Baron Noir as an Arkle prospect or is it just me ? Didn't settle until they jumped the 4th in the SNH then coming down the hill he latched onto Mydaddypaddy to follow him through, off the bend though the front three quickened whereas he lengthened which is probably why...
