The number of Irish v GB winners this year is too hard to call. Close to parity, anyone?

Naas will be fine. No frost tonight and we've been getting above freezing temperatures each day. At the moment no frost envisaged for tomorrow and Thursday night. Good news.

To all of you struggling getting back to work this week. Fear not. As of this Saturday, it is a mere three weeks to the DRF.

Just reading this. Had to stop watching RTC, entirely due to that smug runt Walsh. Am I missing much?

    2026 Novice Hurdlers

Wasn't it the same last year at this meeting or was it in 2023? Then a day or so later he was back with a bang

No sub zero temperatures forecast here though. We'll be fine, in Ireland anyhow.

Showers here now Monday but after that no rain at all forecast for the next week. Thankfully we've had a wet few weeks. The meeting should be fine, even the 4th day.

I can see machaevellin Willie toying with us right up to declaration stage. Will she, won't she for whatever race, the media left with the quote 'we're keeping all options open.'

    Who's Attending Where?

Two days at Fairyhouse. Not as busy as the DRF but as always 2 quality days. UK residents may want to consider coming over. A great welcome from the course as well.

Always wise to give that yard's horses a run out first, even if it is a Grade 1. Anzadam's some value now.

    2026 Stayers Hurdle

Put Coolio in the monthly Yankee. Was really impressed yesterday with Elliot's Skylight Hustle. No great price now but Ballyburn has some engine.

    2026 Stayers Hurdle

And some of us blessed to be on course both days

Classical Creek AB for me Fact to File Ryanair Lecky for the GC Skylight Hustle that won convincingly yesterday at Fairyhouse. Elliot has him as a 2 miler, he said post race. Probably still a good price for the supreme.

    2026 Champion Hurdle

That was Anzadam's first attempt in G1 company. In what looks like an open year, trained by the master, even with Lossiemouth in the field, I can still see him turning up in March.

A lot of rain around Navan, including torrential downpours last night. Overcast and damp and drizzly this morning but the forecast tomorrow isn't good. It was soft to heavy Wednesday morning, must surely be heavy now. If the forecast rain arrives Friday, expect an inspection at the very least...

My first reaction after hearing the news this morning with State Man was that Willie will consider targeting both Anzadam and Lossiemouth here.

Thanks for the opportunity, Kev. I'll be back later today with some early thoughts myself. Let the discussion commence.
