Current odds;

Dinoblue 7/2
Kargese 8-1
Only by Night 14-1
Jade de Grugy 14-1
The Big Westerner 14-1
Zanoosh 14-1

16-1 bar

….25-1 (Hills) available for La Note Verte after that win in a race that makes @Saxon Warrior race planner.

Wonder if there is any chance of kargese going here since Mullins has a lot of runners in champion chase ... Temps...kopek...majborough ... If these three are performing then I could see a switch

If Kopek comes out best in Ireland of Willie's 2m horses then PT will be pushing for IET Ryanair and Kargese Mares Chase.
Greedy bar steward.

Jade De Grugy looks to be starting over fences again this season - entered at Clonmel next week

With last years campaign ending over hurdles for JDG and Place De La Nation rumoured to also be starting over fences (think it was one of the O’Learys who said it) then I suppose where they end up at the Festival will be dependant upon their chasing performance's and maybe also how Selma De Vary performs over hurdles in open company during the season?

Maybe some perm doubles may be the way to go?

Owner has plenty of mares so lot of moving parts yet.

If kargese doesn't prove up to champion chase class then you'd imagine she'd go mares chase. Also the likes of majolique, if she improves enough to be a mares hurdle horse then that would also affect jade's target. If murcia went chasing might also have some bearing.

He has others with different trainers too that could end up in one of those races.

Mares Hurdle, Mares in Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase and Mares Chase equals .......... complete chaos.

One that may be of interest in the Mares Chase .....

Rich Ricci's Racing Manager Joe Chambers said this about Mullins Sainte Lucie....

“I think she’s going to wreak havoc in the mares’ novice chase division this season,” Chambers declares. “People got distracted by Willie’s other horse (Jump Allen) in the Martin Pipe but I suggest you take a look back and watch her passage through the race. Then she went down to Cork, upped in trip again and won, then she got some Black Type in Killarney and I think her schooling has gone particularly well.”

Only currently priced up with Unibet at 25/1

Be well worth watching how Saint Lucie is campaigned I reckon.

Mullins has only ran one novice in the mares chase, and that was Colreevy in the races first year. I think he thought Colreevy was big and strong enough to go on to a Gold Cup campaign the following season before injury. She also battered Monkfish at Punchestown after winning at Cheltenham.

She was also put into a grade 1 on her second start over fences in the Faugheen chase at Limerick against the boys.
Then a grade 2 mares chase before going on to win the Mares Chase.

With Dinoblue, Spindleberry and Jade du Grugy likely to be aimed there, it makes it difficult for a novice mare of his to get into that team. She would have to look exceptional I think. All three of those above did not contest the mares chase in their novice season.

I personally don't think she is a bet for the mares chase right now, unless silly prices. (50-1 isn't bad I suppose)

edit - Forgot about allegorie de vassy (also a novice)

Agree Q. She'd have to be very good like Coolreevy and Impervious who were 2 top Novices.

Into 20's with Unibet.

These bookies really are pathetic. Pence moves markets.
