2026 Flat Season

Just got back and watched the race

Zavateri probably would have won or gone very close with a clean run

Moore was clever and shut the door for a few strides

Albert einstein ran a weird race. Pulled too hard then sort of ran on but slowly. Just looks like hes not that good

Think we may have seen a royal ascot winner today

Great barrier reef was extremely impressive on debut

5/1 with hills 2/1 everywhere else

I was also impressed with the way star prospect travelled and quickened in the 1st race. looks like hed love a big field and strong pace

Great barrier reef coventry 5s 2pts
Star prospect 10s norfolk 1pt (if my mate still has his unibet account lol)

My first 2 ascot bets

Changed your mind on 5s being too short

7/2 top priced now!

Did look good. Aiden says he'll run again before Coventry as well so probably right to take the price.

Yeah

I read the article you mentioned just after the initial post and decided why not

That he was 2s elsewhere persuaded me. Can delude myself into thinking its a good price when hills eventually match it

Its not a good price though is it lol even at 5s

I feel like 7s or 8s would have been a good price

As you can probably tell im not as serious and price sensitive when it comes to flat antepost. Its just a bit of fun.

Im also looking at this Zeus Olympios for the queen anne. But surely. Think i may well be better off just backing him on friday at sandown at 9/4 than for ascot at 4s though.

Hasnt been a top miler really since baaeed and this lad looks potentially very very good

Aye, it's plenty tight enough as they'll be loads we haven't seen but the only way he's getting bigger price if he proves he's not good enough beforehand in reality. So there's not much of a choice is there, if you liked him. I also took it but only in a few Cheltenham doubles.

Had a little look at that Friday race earlier. Was going to back Dancing Gemini each way at 14s. Thought he might be a bit more primed for it than some of the more fancy ones but Teal seems to be suggesting they're starting him a little slower this season for some later targets. And it was his second run of the season when winning last season's renewal, so that would track. Tends to run very well first time out anyway though, so that part hadn't initially put me off.

Zeus be giving 3lb to most of them, but may well be capable.

Been just watching sandown today

Main take aways

Field of gold got a shocker of a ride

The mare that produced baaeed, hukum and now raaheeb must be one of the best broodmares of all time

Not sure field of gold is that easy. Funny they jocked off shoemark and he's still supposedly getting shockers mind.

Buick have a winner a decent ride to be fair. Gemini would've needed a few more than 3 places haha

Yeah buick did well

His horse was fit from meydan and he made sure it wasnt a jog and sprint

Zeus olympios ran ok, travelled like a good thing then got tired. Next time will tell us if hes a group 1 horse. The way he travels youd think the sussex stakes and breeders cup mile would be his best chances this season.

Just walked the dog down the devils dike then across the Rowley Mile, now you can't get into the final mile as there's workers all over putting up advertising boards, I expect they'll be watering overnight as the sprinklers were on the peat moss gallop, but for now it's like a road all over where we could walk, just thought I'd pass it on.
Good luck.
