Looks a tough day to me

Small play on Mondouiboy my only play so far.

Looks a tricky card today. My main bets so far are:

Joyuese should enjoy the step up in trip. Think she's a solid ew play in the first.

Grey Dawning in the Melling, although the drift is a slight worry.

Madara, Gentlemen De Mee and Omoore Park in Topham

The Mighty Celt

I've done a:

Jazzy Matty
Heart Wood
Zeus Power trixie

Single on Joyuese e/w and have Gentleman De Mee antepost for the Topham. Didn't realise Il Est Francais had been entered so might have a small e/w just incase or Croke Park as he is a cliff horse of mine.

Il Est Francais should be some sight over the National fences - i might have a saver on him.

I've also got L'eau Du Sud at 16/1 ew, 3 places. Hoping they ride him to pick up the pieces.

Did the usual stupid odds bet last night.
Favoir 40/1
Conflated 80/1
E/w singles & e/w double
Also did conflated in e/w singles & double with Beauport @125/1earlier in the week

Only a Patent for me today
Madara
Mondoui'boy
Wandering Ego

On a poor run of form just now hoping these break the pattern 🤞

Small stakes trebles for me.

Trustintimes
Regents Stroll
Zeus Power
Will The Wise

I’m also in the Croke Park Cliff Horse Club…….think he may not have been running for his life during most of the season in graded races so have to have an interest @25/1

Not a good look there Paul riding & slapping an injured horse for a furlong :/

That was really really sad to watch

Hes gone! The cruel and shit side of this sport! Gutted for Gold Dancer and all connections! Damn it!

Imagine if Nico had done the same on Sir Gino because "the winning line was in sight", doesn't bear thinking about.

And he cant exactly say he didnt realise as he jumped off as soon as they crossed the line

Extremely poor from him and will surely get a ban

Gigginstown's Eddie O’Leary has just confirmed the worst.

"Gold Dancer has been put down. He broke his back. It’s terribly sad for the horse. What could Paul [Townend] do? He felt fine, it was just when he pulled up that something was wrong."

Maybe a bit early to be slamming the jockey guys?

I don’t know for sure but if horses are anything like humans when an injury or something painful occurs adrenaline etc will keep you going until you stop, that’s when it hits/sinks in.

Doubt we’ll ever find out if he felt it straight away or not, if he did then I agree with what you’ve said above. I thought it was his back left leg initially on the run in.

The 365 superboost curse was too heavy for sober glory.

Youd imagine that will sway them to go over fences.

Gold Dancer, to me anyhow, looked like he regained his footing. In that split second, Townend must have thought he had the full horse back under him, and off he goes, the winning line ever nearer, but having to push him out because Regent's Stroll had a second wind.
