Bit of a fun thread we have every year, April 9th is the date the Aintree meeting and Masters Golf Tournament kick-off. We’ve had a few bullseyes in recent years, I think @Lobos found the golden double.

Just over three weeks to go, best waiting until nearer the time to place doubles with extra places available although I expect plenty have GN bets on already.

I had an early Masters bet on Matt Fitzpatrick 66-1 which was a bit fortunate given his performance at this weeks Players Championship. I’ll also be adding Tommy Fleetwood and dutching those with a few GN bets.

Lecky Watson, Johnnywho and Gorgeous Tom in my GN book at the moment so probably consider them for doubles.

We'll all look back at how obvious the Gorgeous Tom/Fleetwood double was...

….looks like Hills are NRNB on GN.

As are B365. Lecky at 50's looks a decent enough stab.

…..yep, I like LW too. Gentlemansgame 50-1 is another I looked at but only with NRNB concession. Not been seen since 3rd in last years GC, clearly difficult to train and probably won’t turn up but with a trainer unlikely to send him over for a day out.

If jagwar would run past the horse in the lead I’d be very confident in a double with Bob McIntyre , left handed players have great record at Augusta and he’s coming into form 50/1 is massive

Have added Final Orders to the above . Johnny Who would be very interesting but not sure he'll get in.

….by my reckoning, needs 12 to come with plenty double entered for Irish equivalent. Could be close.

With an Irish mark 9lb lower would he not go Irish National ?

Which horse?

Soz, Final Orders. Got confused as he's around 9lb better in on his new English Rating although that seems a harsh jump. Still think he'll go English National though as he's on a lovely weight and hopefully will be more likely to get his ground at Aintree. Plus he's in the form of his life. There's only one national.

Yes but my feeling is the majority of those double entered are likely to go English GN. No harm doing NRNB though.

….that 66-1 Matt Fitzpatrick has been smashed in, feel a bit daft not doing a double when it was there.

Panic Attack
Now Is The Hour
Final Orders

Xander Schauffele
Tommy Fleetwood
Cameron Young

Would be my picks but may also add Spillane's Tower & Robert MacIntyre and go all out!

Do 16 small EW cross doubles on your 8 picks.

….i assume there’ll be enhanced place terms on the golf as we get nearer.

Yep, will get up to 10 places generally I would think, though prices may be sliced a bit
