2026 Juveniles

I tried antepost betting on this race last year, and was on East India Dock. He lost, fair enough, but to a 100/1. Said I would never do it again

Do feel for those trying to get a antepost position, especially with Nas being knocked out 2-3 weeks ago

glad i dont bother this with this race, says it all when I find it easier to get the Fred Winter horse

Proactif and Macho Man never looked that comfortable. Thought Maestro would get up but winner must be some horse to win with Patrick on board.

Annoying to have an antepost shorter than SP

But maybe today is going to be a good day after all

Edit/ not sure who put it up but I know I've only backed it because of this forum
I echo all that you’ve just said 😁

It's been two brutal years in this for most but there was few glorious ones before that for antepost.

I won't give up it just yet. Although I might give up with any bets on the day on it!

She won't be up with the pace though will she.

Prominent runners is going to stick in my head all season for the festival.
Not if they dawdle around at 27-29mph like this year

Usually being midfield or held up is the best place to be in the county

I think Willie gave him a good word in stable tour. I backed him at 33/1 and although it’s frustrating that he won at 50/1. Would I have backed him if I’d know Patrick was going to ride?

He gets a lot of stick that’s generally justified but he gave apolon a good ride today, maybe he’s better when it’s not expected and the pressure is off?

He was brilliant on him to be fair. He's a top jock. 1000 winners doesn't lie.

I’ve said this before. He’s been cracking on less fancied runners, but on some of the shorties, it doesn’t always go so well. Fair play to him, great ride, and you could see what it meant to him.

Time to see if Selma can get one up for a Zarak progeny.

Worry about the hill for her, but we shall see.

Just reading back some comments on this thread

I'd love to have seen her had she not got snatched up by Harry, as she wasn't given the office once winning chance was gone, but that could be a fair point on her, hard to be decisive either way, but it for sure did make me think hmm.

Said to pals expected her to come there sweeping down the wide outside round the final bend like a prime Vauban and she almost did jus that :ROFLMAO:

Personally think she had plenty of time to go again, or to get tactical position up the rail before she had to switch, but that was just my take.

Reckon she may go well at Punchestown though, flatter, quicker track.

Yeah could well be right, I certainly wouldn't argue absolutely against that.
But she'll have to settle down to be a top top mare in time either way.

Leave the absolute good thing to go to Aintree.

Lovely run from Minella Study. The winner was a stronger stayer on the ground. I think he would have got second without the interference and without Ryan Mania allowing Skelton an easy run up the rail. Basic stuff.

Too early to say. On a line through Selma he’s not that far ahead. When he met her he’d already had two runs whereas she was first time out edit for Mullins.
