Day 1 Yankee - FinalFurlong91

Iceberg Theory of Paul Nolan's has come into the National Hunt Chase a bit under the radar and more or less fits your 'around the 12/1' price. He comes here fresh. While a 100+ day break might concern some, he won first-time-out at Cork after a six-month lay-off.

His 2 chase wins are working out well. O'Toole wining the listed handicap chase last Monday at Naas, the latest to frank the form.

Conor Stone-Walsh, who has been aboard for both of his chase wins, is booked to ride.

By Flemensfirth, the 3m6f should play to his strengths.

At our annual preview the other day Iceberg Lettuce was well talked up.

…..worth noting;

BFSB currently have a bet £10 multiples on the first day of the festival and get £10 to spend on multiples.

The way I read it, if you opt in and place our Day 1 Yankee totalling £10 or more with BFSB you’ll get £10 credit to spend on multiple (doubles, trebles, accas only).

Spent an hour going through the fred winter trying to find an interesting piece of form.

The mighty celt beat top weight bertutea (136) and precious man (135) comfortably in france

He also finished 2nd to top notcher leopard du berlais

Has been gelded and had a wind op then moved to skelton and was never put in the race behind manlaga. Who hes now 6lbs better off with.

The others listed below have been given positive mentions by others

Fred winter
The mighty celt 16/1-22/1
Ultima
Hyland 10/1
Plate
Downmexicoway - general 12/1
NHC
King of Answers 10/1-12/1 (lucinda 5 of last 6 runners have won)

With 365 (6 places on fred winter and ultima) 33,034/1

With hills (1/4 the odds e/w terms) 33,395/1

I think Grand Geste is a really solid ew choice in the NH Chase at 14/1. Comes here having won the Tommy Whittle and GN Trial at Haydock and a mark of 135 shouldn't overface him IMO. Stays longer than the mother-in-law and if he can get into a nice rhythm in front he could take some pegging back.

Bloody skelton

He couldnt have found more trouble if he tried. Got hampered several times.

Of course i chose the 1/4 5 places and he finished 6th

He was hoping it would open up for him I guess . I don’t think much will be coming from the back though, today at least

This is why i dont bet each way

Anyone on with 365 has both places

Me on with hills both finished one spot outside

You have to laugh

Anyone on with 365 has the place treble up. King of answers needed for a solid return.

By my estimations at the prices 365 were offering when i put it up which were in the ballpark of the following
22/1, 10/1, 10/1 and 12/1

50p e/w yankee returned around £217

If like me you placed with hills was a small loss

Those 6 places with 365 made a big difference

Just realised I had a great return with B365 as well - without even realising it. When you don't have the winner, you just forget about it!!!!

Sorry Final Furlong, really feel for you over this. Thanks for your efforts here.
