🎉🚨🚨DOING A NAIAD 2026🚨🚨🎉
🥳🚨Thursday 26th February @ 7pm🚨🥳

Firstly, thank you all for the interest you guys show in The Annual Naiad. Over the last couple of weeks or so the number of emails I’ve been sent, the messages on social media, and the DM's in here asking if The Annual Naiad is going ahead again is incredible.

Prior to starting this years Naiad, between 6.45pm and 7pm, Kev or I will post the link for the Live YouTube Podcast on here. Please be aware, that the servers get very busy as soon as the link is posted, and it can take a minute or two to get in.

There will be some new members who may not have a clue what this is all about, but if you search 'Doing A Naiad' on Google you'll find some of the Annual Podcasts from previous years, which will give you a good idea of what it's all about and what to expect. In short we have massive plunge on one horse in the handicaps, and the price crashes quicker than a Willie/JP horse making it’s handicap debut straight out of France. And prior to that everyone tries to guess which horse it's going to be, and I give nothing away!!

It’s a pre-Festival tradition for so many racing fans now, it's a live podcast where we all push the button on the selected horse at the same time on a value horse, that often crashes into favourite on the night. So, if you haven’t joined us previously you’ve been missing out. It’s a lot of fun, and for anyone who loves Horse Racing and the Festival in particular, make it one of your annual traditions.

For those who attend the Festival on the day the nominated Naiad runs, it’s also become a tradition to gather to watch the race on the big screen by the Parade Ring. I’ll post more details about that later though.

Last year’s selection Busselton failed to fire. Un-forecasted rain fell overnight and in the morning, and the ground went against him. He didn’t lift a leg and our fate was sealed early on. But to prove the rationale was correct, and that we were right to get on at the big price that we did, he then sluiced up on his next run in the the Punchestown Festival Cross Country. Despite him disappointing, we did land the bonus double, which was Marine/Jazzy Matty at 166/1.

The last 5 seasons have given us 3 places and 2 losers which is ahead at level stakes, but the overall record including last year’s double is now 6 winners, 9 places, and 4 losers, which is significantly ahead. Given prices are usually recommended between 16/1 and 33/1, and the bet is advised each way I’d say that’s a pretty good record, and made even better by the 166/1 double. Perhaps we'll be doing something along those lines again this year 🤔

If anyone is wondering what all the fuss is about, and has no idea what the Naiad is and what it's all about, send me a quick DM and I'll explain.

Paul is a legend. This always adds to the festival excitement. Look forward to it!!

Who's on the door tonight stopping the bookies from lurking till we get our bets on? 🤣

Can someone remind me - is this a single selection or are we looking at a multiple? I seem to remember Marine Nationale, Jazzy Matty AND Busselton last year?... Were the additional selections just in honour of Michael O'Sullivan (RIP)? Regardless, I'm VERY excited! Best of luck, all.

Bussleton was the selection Roaring, with a close call for Henry's Friend in the Ultima if i remember rightly. The double was new to me. The O'sullivan extra play. Not seen him put a double up before
