2026 Champion Hurdle

Might be tempted to back The New Lion WTAF if it looks like heavy and Gino being pulled...

I just can't forget him pulling out 3 from Sandown a couple of years back because of the Heavy going. Think it was Shishkin, Constitution Hill and the great Willmount. Remember it was carnage on here and Nicky wasn't the most favourite of people😆

I hope they all turn up and we don’t have a first round knockout. A competitive race would be desirable, and I feel it’ll be pretty close between top two

The Altior debacle was the greatest. The BHA should've stripped his trainers license that day

Have just looked up the above meeting and along with the above 3, Henderson also took out Impose Toi because of the Heavy going. Something to be aware of tomorrow.

When it gets to the possibility of heavy ground , think it makes sense to be careful before parting with any cash before you are guaranteed to get your money back.
Won’t be just Hendo looking at the going.
Any Cheltenham hopeful running this weekend could be a non runner if trainers think running could well harm their festival chances .
Also of course not running could be detrimental to their chances in March.
I’d say it’s not an easy time for trainers from now to March with the weather!!

You'd get your money back now regardless as final decs have been made. obviously Rule 4 would apply to remaining bets though. Ill wait until race time now.

With all this speculation about the going at Cheltenham its a bit poor that the last update on Turftrax is from 15:30 on Wednesday.

yes especially as its rained a lot here since then. even if its officially soft youd think a lot of trainers going to be keeping a close eye on that first race time and how they finish

A lot will walk the course too, the lazier ones will just do from the turn into the straight to the line.

yeah i saw that...its a bit misleading as update is from yesterday but timing of readings are 19th and 21st...
Yeah, I've just read it properly, it is updated but no new going stick readings
We know they hate to call it heavy, it's not like calling it Fat is it ?

Workahead declared for the Limestone Lad.

In that ground I can see Kel Histoire going well, provided he's ready to go first time up, of course!
