    Royal Ascot Day 1

Difficult punting day but some great racing and excellent finishes. Orthodox will be next year's Commonwealth Cup winner!

    Royal Ascot Day 1

Been a good week so far with handicap winners each day. I do love trying to work out these big field handicaps. Nice to see money has come in for Spy Chief and Soldiers Tree who were 12s and 25s yesterday. I've also backed Evanesco and Lost Boys in the other handicap today but Lost Boys is now...

For the Wokingham on Saturday, I have already backed Binhareer, Spy Chief and Soldiers Tree.

    Royal Ascot Day 1

Map Of Stars was a decent and very needed winner for me today. For tomorrow's big handicap, the Royal Hunt Cup, my main fancies Indalo and Linwood aren't drawn high so I've also added Rogue Diplomat and Urban Lion.

Main race betting wise is the Wolferton for me. You need close to G1 horses and the 3 I have backed are Nahraan, Ghostwriter and Map Of Stars.

    2026 Grand National

I was thinking the same but Search For Glory was awful today. I'll still be backing Johnnywho though...

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

Game of opinions Ista. I think the trip will be no problem and only fancied him for the Cup and not the County. He debuted on the flat as a 2 year old over 10f which says to me that he was already thought of as a stayer. He's only had 7 starts over hurdles and 4 of which were as a 4 year old so...

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

Willie on Storm Heart in his latest update on his Cheltenham runners in the Sportinglife. Storm Heart’s recent win at Gowran would put him right in the mix for the BetMGM Cup. I loved the way he finished in Gowran. When things didn’t go well for him during the race Paul was very cute on him...

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

Could well be and he may easily have improved considerably from last season but I still prefer SH who I think could be a 160+ horse. I just think Townend will pick SH. He chose him ahead of Kargese in the Triumph the other year and also Bunting over Jump Allen at Sandown last season. JA may also...

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

My thinking that he goes Coral Cup is that Willie already has strong chances according to the betting in Murcia and Karbau. He doesn't look to have as strong contenders in the Cup, so hopefully wants Storm Heart there who that who Paul would choose over Jump Allen.

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

I'm already on at 16s with Paddy's when they went NRNB and then 20s with B365. I would still take the 12s NRNB if not already on as can see that and the 10s easily disappearing once he's confirmed for the race and Townend jocked up.

2026 BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (previously Coral Cup)

Disappointing that Indeevar Blue is now out of this but makes Storm Heart an even strong bet for me. I fancy a lot of the Skelton handicappers this Cheltenham but just can't have Kateira for this. I think Storm Heart could easily be a strong favourite for this after P Townend is next to his name...
