    April ap festival yankee

The first yankee is on the ante post yankee thread, so we can debate the April one here, as istabraq has suggested. We have some contenders already so keep them coming, plenty of time till 30th April.

    2019 festival ante post yankees

Ok guys n gals, 1 per month, possibly on the first of each month, gives us a month to debate each one. Not so for the first one though, will need ideas over the weekend, get the first one on the board by the 1st April, sound ok?

    Aintree Foxhunters chase

So Burning Ambition favourite for another foxhunter, what do we think, stats only bad for winners coming here right?

    Daily movers

With a view to those looking for opportunities away from the fez, and Saturday meetings, I thought it might be good to have a thread where market movers can be noted. A bit late really as yesterday a horse called Heluvagood won the 4.35 at Chepstow at 5/1 I noticed movement in the market the...

    ATR daily competition

Each year atr run a daily festival competition for members, it's easy to sign up if you've not already. The comp is straightforward, they give you points to place on a horse in each race, usually 100 from memory, and the winner gets a free bet credit, has been £1000 for prior years. I just...

is Mecca's Angel not a good thing today with the rain falling, must be sure to go close

    Grand annual

Anyone got thoughts on this, Trainer pretty bullish about Next sensation, would like to include something from here in doubles/trebles before the bigger prices dry up, I know gambles come late in this, just looking to anticipate which they may be, simple as that:D

    Clarence house entries

Sprinter, SDG and UDS, all entered for the Clarence house chase, can't see them all turning up but would be something to look forward to, pre Cheltenham, if they did

Is Flemenstar really a 25/1 shot?

The John Durkan looks fairly open today, no winner this century first time out yet Djakadam is no bigger than 2/1, poor record for 10 year olds but Flemenstar is 25/1. You couldn't have imagined being able to back this horse at anything above 3 or 4/1 a couple of seasons ago in a race of this...

    National hunt selections for 21/11/2015

Rock on Ruby going over half a mile less looks a solid option, possibly coupled with Top Notch from a resurgent Hendo yard to beat Irving, a horse that doesn't seem capable of putting in back to back winning performances. Nichols bullish though so you never can write one of his off. I also find...

Simonsig could be worth another chance

I'm gonna weigh in on Simonsig tomorrow, getting weight from Purple Bay and a return to hurdles might be a winning formula. I also intend adding Upepito and Lightning Moon in a multiple.

Midnight Appeal could be a good ew

Midnight Appeal was formerly with Alan King and has dropped a fair bit in the weights, I reckon it could still be too good for these though, even under top weight. Take a look, I've helped myself to a bit of the 16's at 365, ew, just hoping Sophie Leech can rekindle his enthusiasm.

Is Belardo worth an each way punt?

I think Gleneagles will be hard to beat in the Irish 2000 Guineas but I'm going to have an ew tickle on Belardo, at around 14/1 he looks to be in with a decent chance of a place at least, so with nothing else floating my boat I thought I'd go with this one for a bit of interest. I've had a...

Top Tug looks like ew bet to nothing

Just a note on the only bet I'll be having tomorrow is in the first at HQ, Top Tug, may not be wound up for this but could be worth following this season. I'm having a decent each way on it but will watch the horses progress up the handicap rankings this year.

Template seems a good fit at Wincanton

Harry Fry and Noel Fehily team up in the first at Wincanton, still available at 4/1, which makes it a reasonable ew punt. Also looking for someone to talk me out of backing Geoffrey Chaucer at the Curragh, I've already got Joey O'Brien down as a negative, I don't rate the guy a top jock myself...
