    2026 Novice Chasers

Brown Advisory is the race of the week for me. Cannot have Romeo @ 11/4 - seems crazy short to me for a horse not trained or tested over the trip. Kaid D’Authie - have doubts about 3m and 6yo have a terrible record in the race. Final Demand - loves dotting up in easy races, seems to fold in...

    2026 Novice Hurdlers

Sortudo at 12/1 for me. Solid run in the bumper. He'd be 3/3 IMO if hurdles weren't omitted LTO. Danny is riding well and his is breeding is superb. I do like I'll Sort That - he'd be 5/1 or shorter if trained by Willie IMO, I just have doubts about the hill. Can see him front running and...

    2026 Novice Hurdlers

I am bullish on Old Park Star (OPS). I think people are over complicating this IMO and take the view that he should be shorter than he is, so there is still value in his price. I love the way he jumps and travels, he moves effortlessly and in that regard reminds me of Altior. Solid on debut...

2026 National Hunt Nov H’cap Chase

Its oddly unsettling not being down 20+ points on this race at this stage :) I don't like the top of the market, at all. Wade Out interests me - his engine is probably the best in the field, nothing will stay on better IMO, it's just a case of how well he travels. Might back. The one I landed...

    Cheltenham November Meeting

Few early fancies Saturday 1.45 - From The Horse's Mouth Podcast Novices' Chase - Weveallbeencaught @ 9/1 Sam chose WABC vs Flooring Porter and it looked like he needed the run IMO. NTD loves WABC and has likened him to Imperial Commander. Not suggesting thats what he'll become for one...

    Arc de Triomphe

I've been all over Hukum for a while now @ 6/1. B365 are now best priced 11/2 and he's as short as 9/2 elsewhere. At 4 (2021) he looked like a very solid Group 3 horse, nothing more. That busy season plus his stop start career has led to him being the most underrated flat horse in training IMO...

    St Leger

Continuous @ 4/1 for me. Unbeaten at 2, very good 3rd in the Dante on debut after 230 days off (surprised he went there without having a run), not sure what happened in France a few weeks later (maybe came too soon) but he ran a blinder at Royal Ascot behind King Of Steel, beating Arrest 9L in...

    Melbourne Cup

Most of us are smashing Vauban left, right and centre ( Lobos leading the charge) so thought it made sense to create a thread for the race to discuss here, especially with the weights out shortly.
