    He sees running KDM in the Stayers as detrimental for his future as he's only a 6yo. And yet he's running a couple of 4yo fillies in the Mares Novice Hurdle and the Bumper ffs. Some French breds are precocious and some ain't.

    I think the winning 10yos era ended at roughly the same time the new drainage being installed. The end of winter sodden ground is far less common nowadays so the classier Stayers come to the fore rather than the stamina laden gnarly old plodders.
