I've only been once. Way too many people for my liking and took almost 2 hours to get out of the car park. Thankfully my parents have a pub so I move in on the Monday evening and then check out on the Saturday. Love it.
Good luck with the racing, but I wish you even more luck with the football! I am a Bristol Rovers Fan and you thought following Ipswich was hard!

We are 8 blokes with grandstand tickets which includes access to a bar along with about 500 others until security inevitably breaks down and the world & its wife (well not many of them) sneak in later. There are about 20 tables in the bar, so we get close to the front of the queue at the Hall of Fame entrance waiting for the 10.30 opening. At the off, there is a mad dash with our sprinters at the fore and our rugger buggers behind having 'problems' with their tickets holding things up. One or two of us grab a table or two until the others arrive - all tables are taken within 90 seconds (I've timed it!). This is like a military operation that a makes the Iranian Embassy siege look like a vicars tea party. We then spread out our RPs, race cards, coats on seats and tell all those that ask "is this seat taken?" to kindly go forth..... Been doing it for over 20 years and the buzz of successfully grabbing a table just makes the day.
This year is the 20th anniversary of our team bet on the famous McCoy treble which made us £8K - the lap dancers ended up with most of the winnings!
I would have have kept it under wraps Unhomme . There's a lot of policing of this forum I reckon . Be like Dad and keep 'Mum'. You never know who's looking in.
Where do people stand to watch the racing?
We have a group of 12 or so and take the view that we'd find it difficult to do things as a group if we were to stay in Cheltenham. We've stayed in Cirencester and Moreton in Marsh in the past and this year it will be Tetbury.
Check in Monday afternoon with a social evening discussing prospects and followed by a quiz.
Tuesday/Wednesday - After breakfast, minibus to course to arrive 11.30 to 12.00. Drinks in the Guinness Village or the Garden Bar before racing then we go our separate ways for the racing with a rendezvous point between races. We watch the races from several different vantage points in Tatts but that usually includes by the bookies near the big screen and at least one race at the parade ring. Minibus back to the hotel after racing. Freshen up then out for drinks and food with a nightcap and maybe a game of dice back at the hotel.
Check out Thursday with everyone going their separate ways to be home in time for racing.
This is our first year in Tetbury Liam. We're staying at the Priory Inn and I think we plan to meet up in the Royal Oak. Other than that it will be off the cuff.
You stand in exactly the same spot as you did when you had your last winner....
No problem ArchieCheers Liam. We've people from all over the place - Dublin, Wales, Yorkshire, East Midlands, Essex - so it's not always easy to get a quick decision/consensus but I'll see what they say.
No problem Archie
