Wouldn't be disastrous as all bets I have for her are, NRNB, plus have Apples Shakira covered plenty, I just would be down to the one horse for the race so may have to look for an alternative if she doesn't make it.

Any one got stats on once raced horses for the Triumph?

Stormy ireland is not once raced, she's ran 3 times
Saldier is the only one with only 1 run on the track. But he would have done plenty unofficially as would melon last year.

Sorry, should have said, once raced in UK & Ireland, only 1 winner in 31 years from that group.

I do feel if any trainer were to have one ready for the big day though it would be Willie.

I wouldn't buy into that personally as 3 runs with 2 being in France. Would still count as 3 hurdle runs before the triumph imo.

Ie pesk ebrel would go in there amongst the strongest form in my personal view even though that would be considered 0 runs.

Yeah, I just like to keep an eye on the stats too. I am a massive Stormy Ireland fan, even on that one run, she didn't beat a lot, but she done all she could and her time was very good in line with the other 2m races that day!

Is pesk ebrel a likely runner? Can’t find any comments. I’m looking to add one or two in this race as have Apples Shakira covered from early but think she’s very opposable. One by one the opposition seem to be falling away

No idea. But I'm on. And will be again on the day with 4 places if he's declared. And not just hoping for place money.
He's ran in proper races.

I am opposing Apple’s Shakira. Her plus column is obvious, but I would question what she has beat. There is little depth in those races and her experience in bigger fields would be a concern at the current prices. Every year these shorties get beat and I am confident Apple’s Shakira will be one of them. Lay

We've had history of one day being told something and then the very next day the complete opposite comes out with the Mullins yard haven't we?

But I do agree, probably more a case of finding out if she had another setback and actually what the setback was around Leopardstown - I don't recall that being expanded upon unless I missed it?

I saw an article at the time. They said was very minor. And she would be back working at that time. And ideally they would get another run into her

Stormy in fantastic form Patrick says. Very small but great jumper and lot of heart. Willie wasnt 100% happy to go to Leop but says they have her back now. Goes to triumph.

Sussex Ranger running tonight on the all-weather for the Moores though I've been unable to get hold of my contact!

Can't work out if it's to protect a mark, good placing or just to get a run into him that isn't heavy ground.

The drift from odds-on suggests it is a pipe-opener, but I wonder which of the 2 Juvenile races he goes in as they think a fair bit of him.

I hate running on the all weather at Kempton as a prep for any race on the turf, let alone the NH Cheltenham festival.

I am sure there are some examples of it working but I think we have enough small fields as it is without the option on messing around on some sand.

The horse seems to be better than 142 mark... cannonly improve over hurdles. Was just a freshen up Ryan Moore never used his whip.

I think it is quite smart to run... freshen up, much lower risk in injury or a catastrophe and keep that 142 mark. Even if he turns up at the triumph and blows out... that 142 mark seems to be Juicy or even if it gets lowered...

I understand the reason for it... I just don't think it should be an option :highly_amused:

If he isn't up for taking in the Adonis, then train him at home, or find a different race at least on the same surface in the same code.

Rather have him not on the track at all than need to watch races on the sand this close to Cheltenham.

Hehe i understand where your coming from... but i gett why they done it...especially after that Finale hurdle vs WHAD. That ground and race would have knackered the best of hroses out. Hence why i think WHAD didnt seem to impressive at Muss.

I think hes been over raced and his stamina will drop out now in the Triumph. Meanwhile i think AS has a tank for days and will end up winning. Triumph proving to be a race where stamina is much needee more than speed.

Farclas for me is the one coming into this under the radar.

I thought he was given a poor ride first time out versus Espoir D'Allen who was allowed dictate from the front with race fitness on his side.

In the spring juvenile I think Jack tried to get EDA racing well before the home straight as he was determined not to give him first run again and consequently set the race up for Mr Adjudicator.

Elliott's had Tiger Roll finish 2nd in this and go one better in recent years and last year Mega Fortune won the race before finishing 2nd at the festival.

Farclas has won on good ground in France and I think there will be significant improvement for it.
