2026 Novice Chasers

I underestimated her...... should have added 7lbs allowance to her RPR which puts her on 151 Debut which is huge and 162 her latest run demolition of Kargese.

This is how she sits ......

CAT 1: Good Enough to Win an Average BROWN ADVISORY already
(162 pre-race)

Romeo Coolio 164 (pref Arkle?)

Kala Conti 162

.

CAT 2: Good Enough to Win a slightly Below Average BROWN ADVISORY already
(160 pre-race)

Western Fold 160

.
CAT 3: Good Enough to Place in the BROWN ADVISORY
(155 pre-race)

Final Demand 158
Kitzbuhel 157
Koktail Divin 157
Kaid D'Authie 155
Aren't they already adjusted?

But if you think Kala has ran to 162 beating Kargese on her first run of the year, I've got a magic beanstalk to sell you

Not already adjusted no.

Interesting that she has also been given entry v Final Demand at DRF. Unlikely to take that up but more evidence how they must rate her.

Lobos Festival Super Trixie...

Arkle.....Romeo Coolio
BANC......Kala Conti
Mares Chase....Only By Night

Anyone fancy retiring early??
Only by Night got a hurdles entry in Dublin, only rated 125 or something daft like that.

Betfair with a bit of an overreaction to Be Aware for the Jack Richards, being beat just then at Windsor, IMO.

33/1 now. Considering he went hell for leather, he stayed on really well, despite two mistakes as well, when looking like he was going to be eaten up and spat out by the eventual winner.

I'll say there's even a chance the handicapper will drop him a lb or two.

He's by Martaline, so going out in trip will suit. They went to the Coral Cup last season where he was sent off 3/1 favourite, big gamble from a few weeks out I think he was too. He travelled well that day despite taking a wide enough route the last furlong or so. He's bred to be a chaser and his jumping is superb on the whole, he certainly looks to have improved for a fence, IMO. It will be down to Harry to keep a lid on him, but I think he'll have a serious chance back at his correct trip, and Betfair sticking him out in price is an added bonus.

Do you think they'll put the hood back on? I wouldn't mind him out in front in the GA.

I'd have thought they'd come back for the GA if anything

The horse is a nutjob, and can't help himself, and that will only be worsened over a longer trip.

SMALL chance he'd get home in an GA imo

He was a nutjob pre-festival last season, but they got him there and opted for the Coral Cup over the County, and it's not as if he finished tailed off either.

I think, IF they can switch him off, he wasn't bad in the Coral Cup, then he'll be fine staying the 1/2 furlong less (compared with the CC) of the Jack Richards.

Could make a case for him in a Grand Annual, but that would mean he'd be 'lit up' more to go the pace. The idea with him is to switch him off, because I think he has the ability, it's just he's been campaigned to be an absolute nutjob, like he was last season, until the festival!

I think he's one of them horses, similar to Anzadam, you light them up too early and their race is gone. His last 3 races Harry has lit him up from the off, going from the front, and he's lost all 3!

Maybe due to them being so keen on Valgrand in the County?

Was on him last year in the Coral myself and he just doesn't help himself, think thats just his trait now

Remember them doing a televised gallop prior to the festival and he bolted under the rider that day

Just don't think he got a very good ride there did he? Seemed to stay on pretty well in the end, to his credit. On a high enough mark mind isn't he.

Missed a chance to knock the Lulamba form haven't I 😂

Time will tell as to which way he goes.

I've stuck my money down....for now at least!

On collateral form, lulamba has around three lengths to find on steel ally. He's shite 😂

I sense a little loss of confidence in kopek des bordes. Drifter for Irish arkle. With doubts about Romeo target and Lulamba being shite, I’m going in again on Kargese🤞

Solid enough on the exchanges for the Arkle.

I found it odd that the possibility of him not turning up for the DFR was discussed on the RTC, made me wonder was I missing something as the exchanges have been solid of late.
