Cheltenham Festival Handicaps

I've heard some very light rumours that Codd will be taking the Mall Dini ride in the Kim Muir.

Has anyone heard the same?

I posted a link to an article last week that suggested they were going for the Kim Muir but no mention of Codd riding. Personally the only way I'd jock off Davy Russell is if I knew I'd have the best amateur on board for the Kim Muir, otherwise I'd stick with Davy and go for the Ultima.

With regards to the same connections and their other runner Presenting Percy, now that he's going to carry a huge weight could they be tempted to find the best conditional to ride him to take some weight off? Davy is one of the best round Cheltenham but I'd certainly consider the option as you may only get one shot at glory.

Codd said at a preview meeting last night that he could be riding Maldini if he ran in the Kim Muir. He also gave Cause of Causes as his best ride.

Mall Dini in the Kim Muir would be horrific news for several of my yankees...

Electric Concorde in the Pertemps is an interesting one - was laid out to win at Listowel and Leopardstown Festivals without doing a lot in between and will get into the race.

Waley-Cohen on board Premier Bond for the Kim Muir, confirmed.

The hardest horses name in training to say is blue all over OC today.... Squouateur What've I missed?

Been waiting for news on this one for weeks !

What's he going for?

Peace and Co going straight for the County Hurdle.

Think Squoateur is going blue because Jamie Codd came out and said he 'might ride one of Gordon's in the Kim Muir' yesterday... Being pretty noncommittal by the sound of it...

He'd be the most obvious, definitely in terms of the market. Other Gordon Elliott rides would be:

General Principle
Stone Hard
Rightdownthemiddle
Definite Ruby

Tombstone has gone very weak for the County. Looks like the Coral Cup might now be the plan? Bit annoying for Peregrine Run backers :grumpy:

Countryfile forecast seemed to suggest it would rain everyday this week.

I always try and back more good ground horses than soft so if you are right it would be good news for the likes of Ordinary World, Brain Power, Peregrine Run and Heron Heights. Unfortunately, two of those go on the opening day when we know it will be good to soft.

Is there any indication which race Heron Heights is being aimed at?
