How you approach the festival

Davy sits on the preview evening panel I go to, he's very entertaining but doesn't talk up his mounts chances, was very dismissive of Mal Dini last year and didn't even give Diamond King a mention....

Man knows what he is doing... don't keep getting the rides if you've lost ya chance before ya sit on it.

That means he quite like his chances when he doesn't mention them. Idea this year if I see on some preview shows that the pundits tip some horses I'm going ignore some of them .

Nothing has changed there then :devilish:

I am thinking of opposing the Tizzard horses. they were all flying early season and very hard to keep them going.

I would agree with the general feeling about Russell. Don't think Presenting Percy is as good as Mall Dini and is now relatively short on what he has achieved.

One general point for me would be to take any Haydock form with a pinch of salt. It used to be a top track but isn't any longer and I don't think the form translates.

I usually try and avoid the Mullins horses. Many are overhyped and the good ones are just too short for my betting purposes.

I have been putting horses in the wrong races into multiples this year

DDS Supreme
UDS champion chase
Uxi champion chase
Charli Triumph

Etc could just end up with my money back but hoping something falls in place

I had similar thoughts earlier in the season. Very tough to keep it up all season unless you have the ammunition of Nicholls, Mullins etc.
Not quite the same but Alan King last year was having a marvellous time and then had none of his horses firing come the Spring festivals.

Tizzards horses have been running better lately though (from briefly looking, I could be wrong though?) compared to his January form.

Henderson form looking a bit ropey ?

What about the Twiston Davies team who havent hit the net since Ballyandy at Newbury!

They're fine finch, plenty of placed efforts and they always ease off a bit before Cheltenham.
Didn't stop me backing Millicent Silver in the Devon National last week, 2 more strides and he wins....

Didn't look into the finishing positions Ista, just seen the lack of a winner. Good to hear because there are one or two of their's I want to be on the right side of in a couple of weeks.

Stands to reason that with so many good horses being aimed at the festival the racing that takes place leading to Cheltenham will be lower level/lesser standard horses, so many yards will struggle....

another henderson favourite flops.
