Supreme Novices 2017

Annie power will run in the Morgiana and be aimed at the Champion Hurdle

Yeah I understand that is the preference, with Faugheen going for the Hatton's Grace?

Has this been confirmed now?

This is the plan.. but as you know one injury can mess the whole thing up lol

How do you know for certain Mouseyaa? If it is the plan only an injury to Annie Power will stop her going for the going for the champion hurdle.

Neither running!

As this is the Supreme thread, Senewalk making his debut over 2m4f and Bacardys over 2m this weekend. I doubt it means anything in the grand scheme of things but I'd have thought they'd be the other way round with regards to distance.

Possibly trying to play down the hype on Senewalk for the Supreme.

As we all know (ams you mentioned on another thread) the distances they run at through the season aren't set in stone.

Be watching them both very keenly

Ruby in the Irish Examiner:

"Senewalk, who runs in the maiden hurdle, goes well at home. He starts off over two-and-a-half miles and, while I wouldn’t say he needs that trip, I can’t see it being a bother to him. We’re happy with him. We run a couple of nice maidens this weekend and, hopefully, a few will collect, starting with this fella."

Willie in the RP:

"Senewalk (3.20)
There has been plenty of chat about Senewalk who makes his debut over hurdles in the 2m4f maiden. He won on the Flat in France last year and is by Walk In The Park, the sire of Douvan. All I can say about him at this stage is he does things very nicely at home and we've been looking forward for some time to getting him started. I think the track and the trip will suit him well and he should have a big chance."

What do we all think about senewalk debut then? Drifted like a leg fell off all day.. Was 2/5 last night went off near evens.. Didn't stay 2m 4f? Needed the run? Just an off day?

Very strange run. When Ruby popped off in front I thought that would be it and to be honest, turning for home, it did look that way. My opinion is that 2m4 was too far but also left me thinking he may just not be that good..

The Senewalk price was crazy, you had some really solid form from moonracer and Senewalk up till last week was fav and no one had seen him.

The winner Moulon a Vent was beaten quite comprehensively by Jenkins in the Irish Bumper so thats a nice little form boost for him.

Over hyped in my opinion. Should be 50/1 now but obviously won't be.

I started answering and have had to delete it to change my answer... Originally, 'no'

but at 33/1 there are worse bets?

If there is a valid excuse today (didn't get home OR not fit enough OR whatever 'blah blah') then it'd be silly to write off the horse ... Still a Walk In The Park horse and Willie said he had been working well... (hard to know what against) maybe it just wasn't his day... his price now, is what it should have been?

Easy to now say that Mullins will have something shorter after a few more come out... but you could easily argue whatever does come out and win, will now be too short because this horses bubble has burst.

If Senewalk hadn't been given as 'the' name last year, then he wouldn't have trebled in price after defeat today... surely doesn't rule him out? I dunno, thinking out loud I guess...

Tempted yes, but still No.

To be honest lads at 33/1 you could have a £20 throw away bet purely as a bit of a gamble, in the end that's what your doing when placing any ante post bet anyway.. The only doubt in my mind is how many times has a horse been beaten at odds on in November and gone on to win at Cheltenham?

Just watched it again - there must have been an issue with him to stop that quickly? Was breezing along then lights out. Wind? Bleed?
