Hello all, it has been a while.......

The flat has been a complete disaster for me so far this season, with only having a handful of winners to date. Hopefully this is going to all change this week. Unfortunately the rain has arrived so I'll be playing it slowly early in the week until I see how the track and ground is riding!

The only ante post plays I have had so far are Donjaun Triumphant at 20/1 in the Commonwealth Cup and Order of St George in the Gold Cup at 9/4. Really like Portage (Royal Hunt Cup) and Outback Traveller (Wokingham) but neither have been missed in the market.

My day 1 each way Lucky 31 is:

Mehmas 7/1
Waady 14/1
Awtaad 15/8
Jennies Jewel 8/1
Callender 40/1

Anyone got any strong fancies this week?

Like Esoterique and Penglai Pavilion - not from knowledge as flat is its usual disaster

Some decent hits there FM, did you get paid for 5th on Callendar ?
I managed to back the 22nd finisher in that 22 runner affair and reckon I should get paid something for that feat lol.

Meanwhile I have Christening Spoon going for me in the Roscommon bumper tonight !
10s e/w, looks a weak affair to me and this one improved massively last time from his debut, soft ground may also bring further improvement.....

Unfortunately not Ista. Waady, awtaad and callender all finishing just outside the places or I'd have had a decent return.

Ascot looks really difficult tomorrow so only backed Portage so far in a single. I'll probably put a big price each way yankee on but struggling to find 4 horses at the moment.

I'll watch the Roscommon bumper with interest, having followed you in. Good luck.

Much too lazy to look at these in any detail.

Can anyone ( FM?) give me 4 horses at 10/1 or more for a yankee :devilish:

Noticed Pipe has one in the big race tomorrow at 300s on Betfair

Griraz (FR)
Useful performer on Flat in France last year, winning 3 times. Claimed for €18,000 in October, but has plenty to find at this level on debut for new connections. Wears tongue strap.

Went with

Light Music @ 18/1
Quench Dolly @ 80/1
Instant Attraction @ 25/1
Dolce Strega @ 14/1
Lucky 15, 15 bets * £1.00 EW

Tony Calvin and Tony Keenan mix up.

Sorry Mayo, only just seen this - had a busy day at work.

Having backed Even Song at big prices in the oaks, I'll expecting to get my money back tomorrow. I've also backed her for the St. Leger at 25/1.

In the first I've backed Global Applause, who has form with Coventry second Mehmas.

What about Lady Aurelia today - the most jaw dropping performance since Frankel's guineas imo

My biggest bet it flat season so far is Even Song tomorrow. It looks like she may start as favourite. Also backed Suegioo in the gold cup each way at big prices.

I would like it inscribed on my tombstone that I managed to find the winner of a 30 runner 1m flat handicap.
I backed Portage in Ireland a few weeks ago and had to go in again though it should be noted this is the only reason I backed him today !

More importantly I nicked third place in the Roscommon bumper last night....

Good luck for the rest of the week to those who play

Maybe the flat season is turning. Hope it continues....

Outback Traveller, Sir Issac Newton and Oriental Fox are my three bets tomorrow. Really like OT and hope he drifts to 12 or 14's in the morning.

I like 2 tomorrow:
3.40 Beautiful Romance
5.35 Armour de Nuit
Both e/w

DJ on fire, if this was Rory or Speith they'd be 6/4 from here, but this is DJ.............

He's got to have a great chance looking at the names around him. Good luck Ista, hopefully you'll still be watching late on Sunday night.

Cheers FM

Ascot darts:

2.30 Admiralty Arch
3.05 Oceanographer
3.40 Beautiful Romance
4.20 Suidois
5.00 Shared Equity, Coultsy and Mutawathea
5.35 Armour de Nuis

At the prices they're all e/w.

Good luck all
